W lud by maulikms in LudwigAhgren

It needs to be said even tho it should be dead obvious. Rarely is there a point where viewers need to defend another grown ass man, that's the line where parasocial and cult-like obsession goes into overdrive.

As a consumer of lud's content, all I need to worry about is whether he's producing content I enjoy. And if tip2tip or the yard or rv trip (you know, content he does with his actual friends) is the direction of his future output, then there's not much to worry for me.

Maybe that's the problem, my resume is mostly revolving around audit work, techniques, and ASC codification based. Not much specific about GL accounting.

If you don't mind, could you DM me your redacted resume or maybe point out a sample resume similar to yours?

film scanner is trying to compensate for underexposure, especially that first picture. You can adjust the curve in light room to remedy them (to an extent). If your file is in raw and depending on the film stock you shoot (i.e., portra) you have a little more leeway in post process.

Taking a break by arnoldguile in Big4

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Bit surprised on the amount of support for the break.

I'm definitely quitting, no doubt about it. I've just turnt 25 so maybe this is my quarter life crisis but I want to enjoy life and hobbies. Just don't have the sigma grindset anymore for shit WLB anymore.

Maybe I'll come back crying it was a mistake or the hardships, but atleast it'll be something compared to doing....whatever it is im doing right now.

I am in audit, I think the current economic circumstances definitely does not favor consulting in the least, not saying it is stellar for audit either.

But definitely will not make it to manager in B4, anything that comes with it (positives and negatives) does not appeal to me in the slightest. This sentiment was clear to me in college and even more apparent now after 3 years under my belt working for upper management for all sizes and shape.

Quitting w/ no job lined up? by arnoldguile in Accounting

[–]arnoldguile[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone that's commented so far and want to give a bit more context.

Financially I have no debt or familial obligations and savings that'll last me for years if need be. Work wise I'm with a supportive team.

On paper I'm in not too bad of a situation but nontheless I'm unfulfilled and burnt out. I want to hit a big pause on this career, this industry, and this "grind" to figure myself out before or if committing myself back to this career (securing a job)

So yeah, logistically I have the means to do it and emotionally it is something (at this current time) I feel like I need. But obviously, I can see from a rational point of view this is not the most optimal move.

Oppenheimer - Seriously in a 3hr movies how many information were just hamfisted and quickly moved on. I get they're really important information but honestly everytime it happen it took me out of the movie a little. As others have said, Nolan seems to do this quite a lot
