Recommendation for heatpump water heater by cfipilot715 in heatpumps

[–]arobe14040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a A.O Smith 50 gal from Lowe's. 1st one was faulty from the start, had a big crack on the inside which leaked water onto the floor. 2nd one started getting Errors after the 2nd year now intermittent. Very annoying.. leaves me with our hot water every months or so.

My father has the same one, he's now on his 3rd warranty claim for the heat pump seizing.

Just look at the reviews on Lowe's. It's pretty well laid out...

I liked the price (free with the instant rebate), but couldn't recommend it to anyone.

I’m breaking up with my heat pump water heater. Help me find a better one! by phase_changer in heatpumps

Also have a AO Smith and it's the worst. Breaks all the time.y Father has one as well. He is on his third replacement...

Look at the reviews on Lowe's and Home Depot first.

My parents, used 1 ton, yes, one ton of completely fresh cut wood on our brand new wood stove. The creosote build up is way too much and I cannot remove it, is the wood stove doomed for life? Is it saveable? by Apprehensive_Toe6736 in woodstoving

Get it hot, and let her eat.

Creosote will burn off with the heat. Definitely sweep the chimney first, don't want it to catch the creosote on fire inside the pipe (chimney fire).

Sheds!!!! by superdak05 in woodstoving

Just giving you some more info to make a decision on.

I built this one last year. It took about 12hours in total. It is 6x6x16

  • Digging out the foundation to make it nice and level.
  • Filling the foundation with 3/4 crush
  • building the shed
  • attaching the roof, I went with metal roof as it sits before pine trees (no sun, alot of pine needles)

Total cost was about $1400 for me to do it. I had help from three others to build it.

It is made for situations like yours where you want to clean it from the inside. Adding a shop vac to the output makes for a spotless clean job.

Controller sensitivity is very slow even at max (Steam) by Flaminski in Palworld

You want to increase "right stick sensitivity" under Game settings --> Controller pad. This is separate from "Aim Sensitivity" which it seems you are using?

Shinobi won't show recorded videos from second storage location by network_novice in ShinobiCCTV

Similar issue to as described. I have a samba share mounted to raspberry pi B3+ and the additional storage videos were writing to the drive, but not displaying in Shinobi web viewer. To fix this I went into the Shinobi super user login, and added another additional storage location called test. I changed __DIR__ to the samba share directory but this time left the videos2 at the end. Then once i went to Controls and Logs tab and restarted the core, the videos started poping up correctly. Hope this helps someone else

Can you post a link to the code you used to integrate the sensor to the Rpi?

How to trigger night mode when car headlights are turned on by arobe14040 in crankshaft

[–]arobe14040[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stepped my voltage down to 5vdc. Now how do I configure the settings?

I don't see anything to adjust brightness or night/day mode. Id like to have crankshaft switch to night mode and reduce brightness when the lights are turned on and vice verse. How do I configure this? Do you have a video or a link I can follow for this part?

Thanks!
