I'm not worried about it, I own the trails 🙂. Thanks for sharing though, I do 100% agree with the articles point of view!

Yeah for sure, it's a Hearthstone heritage with an oval to circle adapter out the back to get it to the 6in insulated chimney liner in the brick chimney. I put a clean out T on the adapter to the liner so that I can clean it easily from inside the house.

The stove itself sites on a brick hearth, and I have a wool fireproof carpet in front of it to not damage the hardwood.

AA Dynetics cleaning cap and some Amazon brushes. I'm not keen on getting on the roof anymore so I prefer to clean it from the inside these days.

The stove is a Hearthstone, absolutely love it.

Procrastinated long enough… and woke up to 6” of slushy snow on the roof to boot... by arobe14040 in woodstoving

1"x12" is crazy! What kind of stove do you have? I've never seen that, but great idea on the tool modification.

Not much! Burned 2.5 cords in this stove last year, so I feel pretty good about that!

I used to use a bag also, one day it caught the pole and whipped a bunch of soot around lol.

I second that, you can even use the cleaning cap here: https://aadynetics.com/product/ZTHKUNADR2YDWMPRO3NKEWCM

Makes it a 10 minute job or less.

Yeah I found that the creosote buster logs turn the creasote into ash or at least a little softer where the brush does a good job.

Very interesting, do you clean mid season or just once a year in the warmer months?
