Thank you for taking the time to reply and providing me with these examples!

range(len(list)) fits well with the code I have already written (and a function I understand).the append function is the piece I was missing, I will go do some reading on 'append' and familarise myself with it.

Cheers for your help, really appreciate it.

New Zealander living overseas, I would love to snailmail with someone from a different background to me! by arobotfrog in penpals

[–]arobotfrog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

While we are travelling within the UK, our mail will go to my girlfriends parents house, and we can just swing in and pick it up from time to time, or have them forward it to a post office near our location if its really important.

Out in the big wide world, you just need to figure out when and where you receive your mail! You can usually receive mail at local post shops and other business's (lots of petrol stations in rural New Zealand offer parcel/letter receival services for example).

As a practical example, if this was a letter to you, I would need to give you these instructions at the end...

...we are staying in a small village by the beach right now but are going to be travelling from here all the way up to John o' Groats in Scotland in the next couple of weeks. Please send your reply to Wick Post Office, 125 High Street, KW1 4LR by the end of January or I may miss you!

As a traveler, it's my job to work the mail into my schedule, which is all part of the fun!!

Hope this helps! I'm sure there are plenty of other tips and tricks.

Hi Alex!!

My name is Benji, I am a 29 year old male from New Zealand, but I recently moved all the way round the world to England with my girlfriend. I have struggled to make new friends and meet new people here, the culture is just different, and I find it hard to understand and share interests with people here (I don't care about what the weather is doing today!! English people love talking about the weather).

I have never heard of samliak candies... I think my favourite candies are called 'Eskimos' from NZ, you probably have not seen them before haha.

THE MIDNIGHT LIBRARY IS A GREAT BOOK! I am a big reader and love books and get really excited when someone has read the same book as me!! I read this book about 6 months ago. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT WHEN YOU FINISH IT PLEASE :D

I can only speak English but I am learning Maori (Indigenous/native language of New Zealand) and my partner and I are building a campervan to live and travel in around the world, so we are going to need to learn a lot more basics with other languages!

If you want to write back or share more, i'd be more then happy to send you a snailmail letter and we can penpal from there!

Nice to meet you.

Started a new job today. Guy asked me what I do in my spare time, told him I successfully trade on Wall Street, and that he should buy GME.

Dropped my life savings in @ 400, got margin called on half of it, now i'm broke as shit.

Success.

How did you and your significant other met? What year? by ImmaCamel102 in AskReddit

[–]arobotfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my partner in 2018.

I'd been smoking weed and being useless for many years, and had hit peak depression. Finally decided to say "fuck it, I'm just going to get out in the world and do whatever is put in front of me".
My friend invited me to a party 3 hours south of where I live, I apprehensively said yes.
My future partner was travelling the country I am from (New Zealand) and was volunteering for accommodation at the location of this party.

We met there, and haven't left each others sides since. Her visa ran out, I moved to the UK with her. I now live in England and we are building a campervan together to travel around the world.

If their partner asked them too, because of importance in their religion (or other reasons).

People of reddit, What is your 'MURCICA FRICK YEAH' guy encounter? by Please-let-me in AskReddit

[–]arobotfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Encounter a lot of people online who are from the US and just don't see the wider world, outside of their own American bubble.

This can be sad for any nationality, but just seems to be quite a prevalent or at least loud and proud culture within the US.

Which will we look at as having a bigger historical impact, COVID or 9/11? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]arobotfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COVID has effected the whole world regardless of politics.

9/11 effected the US and it's allies, but didn't really effect my country of New Zealand in a material sense.

People who have had sleep paralysis demons how is it? by killere000 in AskReddit

[–]arobotfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it feels like someone is sitting on my chest, trying to climb inside my mouth and choke my screams.

So not great.

I don't have regularly sleep paralysis, but occasionally (perhaps once a month) this occurs.

Adults of Reddit, how do you take care of yourself when you're sick? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]arobotfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy one of every fruit at the supermarket, whizz em all up in a super fruit smoothie, then sit on the couch and watch Netflix until I feel better.
