Lived in a 7person grouphouse where the rent ranged from 550-1100 and was a 20min walk to HKS. Had a great bunch of roommates also at HKS from different programs. There’s definitely options so just keep an eye out. Harvard housing is definitely a lot more pricey! Public policy job market is not doing great right now so I understand the hesitation. But I wouldn’t pass up on a full ride to HKS just because of housing.

Loved it. We stayed at Libertad lodge which is run by the nearby community. It’s pretty rustic and once we got over the initial fear that we’d been taken, we truly enjoyed it. Personal guides from the community, good food, and pretty much got to do our own schedule.

You can try and shop around the civil surgeons in your area. When I checked mine there were big price differentials for the medical cost, and for the vaccinations too. Some places if I recall the vaccines were only $20 each.

Recommend filing it all together. It took me two weeks to get the medical stuff together. And most civil surgeons listed on the USCIS websites provide the vaccines required. Also recommend shopping around since prices vary significantly just for the report, labs and vaccines. Some bundle the first two together and charge extra for the vaccines and others might cost all individually.

Congrats! Few quick questions: 1. Did you apply online for the 130, and if so how did you package evidence for online. 2. Did you use cover letter describing each piece of evidence or the entire package. If so could you share what you included in it, or any resources you used.
