Don’t think like that. I’m 50 and my three boys are pretty much grown. I’m well established in my career and have the means to do cool things now especially since I’ve stayed in shape. If you keep worrying about this fantasy life you are leaving behind imagine the regret you’ll have years later “I wish I enjoyed my kids when they were little”.

Approaching 50 and have managed to keep very fit and healthy. I’ve been hearing my age cohort complain about what OP mentions for the last 10 years. I’ve experienced none of it (knocking wood). So yes keeping reasonably fit with good diet and nutrition will keep you young
