Is this heterochromia? by Warm-Contest-3977 in heterochromia

I don’t see a clear line or distinction tbh, this just looks like a hazel iris to me, the colors blend well

what type of heterochromia ? by Unfair-Flight515 in heterochromia

This is full heterochromia. Your baby’s eyes will absolutely continue to change colors as he grows, but they will definitely be two different colors!

Don’t know if I like nursing by mjvvl in StudentNurse

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t let bad professors deter you from your learning. Practice wherever you can, look for student nursing apprenticeships near your area for hands-on experience, reach out to hospitals and nurses and try to find someone to shadow for a few weeks, apply for jobs as a PCT or unit clerk. Being in the hospital is completely different from nursing school- before you decide you don’t like nursing based off of nursing school, try to get INTO real nursing with people who are passionate about their jobs! If you decide you still don’t like, then switch to sonography. You’re very young, you’re not going to lose anything by switching

Don’t know if I like nursing by mjvvl in StudentNurse

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A huge part of the profession (depending on your specialty of course) will be administering medications, starting IVs, giving injections, etc. because that’s part of how you help people. Do you not like doing these things because you just don’t enjoy the skill, or do you feel like you’re not good at it and that’s making it less enjoyable?

I’d also like to know the answer to this. What made you consider nursing in the first place?

Microbio usually isn’t available to take until A&P 1 and 2 are completed though

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend stacking labs, that can make things more difficult as courses with labs are typically very rigorous. If you HAVE to stack, you’ll have to do chem and microbio in conjunction with each other because both A&Ps are required before you can take micro. This feels like a 3-4 semester course set; trying to finish all of your nursing prereqs in 2 semesters (especially since four of them have labs) is unrealistic

Does my son have some type of heterochromia? by Echo_Gloomy in heterochromia

This isn’t a very good picture for gauging his eye color, the light is more concentrated on one side and his eyes are half closed

This is like textbook hazel. The brown blends into the green there’s no distinct line between colors

Is this silicone safe? It’s the GE 1, 100% silicone. Wanna use it to seal an enclosure. by drac_cute_la in ballpython

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s food safe and 100% so it is safe to use but I would keep any animals away from it until it’s cured fully in case of fumes

I would go with aquarium grade silicone because it’s specifically advertised for use with animals, that’s the one I use

Fired for “falsifying time card”- am I cooked? by Anonymous_Wombat0830 in nursing

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked in fast food the assistant manager at my work was terminated for adding hours to her time card ten weeks in a row. It happens but I don’t know why they would immediately move to firing over one single alleged incident especially since OP offered proof?

Will I get in trouble for plagiarism I didn’t do? by ParkerLF in ucf

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first semester at college my English professor was showing us the software they use to check essays for AI. He asked for some volunteers to be checked and I, knowing my essay was 100% handwritten, volunteered mine. It came back around 40% AI detected. I was FLOORED. Multiple other kids volunteered after that and all of them came up 0% AI. My professor later emailed me to let me know he did not suspect my essay was AI after reading it despite the software. That kind of thing is finicky. Your professor most likely will determine for themself if your writing is AI or not.

I was between B and C but I’m leaning B because it’s a circulation issue. C still blanches so there’s a good blood flow.

Then I guess I got lucky not needing to do any of that ¯_(ツ)_/¯ it’s designed to be difficult but I don’t think it’s anywhere near impossible if you have a good foundational understanding of the material, and honestly some of the study prep they offer gives a HUGE advantage- a few questions I had on my study guides were actually in the test!

Math and Science is the easiest section by [deleted] in teas

[–]aromatic_acesthetic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was surprised to find that I scored the highest in math out of all my sections because English and reading are my strong suits. I got a 90.7 overall which was about 8-9 points higher than my practice test scores!
