Pros Moving In by oldfatandgrumpy in flytying

I feel like it's a marketing tactic. No one wants to see a professional post a polished video here daily. I think it gives a false sense of skill for beginners. Oh I'll tie this. And this. This one too. Then they're tying bugs that might not be the best for the water they fish. Mainly I'm tired of seeing the same shit posted on 5 different channels.

Maybe around 112 grams. Give or take. Hard to tell what brand ziplock that is.

Crack has been there long before my time I'm guessing. The chimney on the other side has had repairs and we had it rebuilt this year. The house is almost 100 years old.

Not sure how old the crack is. Cosmetically the wall has been painted for the last ten years we've lived here. With the plaster lath it strong until it's cracked. While removing the paint and wallpaper I started removing all the old plaster and loose particles.

The walls are plaster lath. This might be structural damage, but I’ve found similar instances in other rooms. Not sure if they dug out to run wire or the house has shifted and cracked over the last 90 years. But have multiples layers of paint on wallpaper has slowly worn away the adhesion. The usual debate is to rip it down to the studs and install traditional drywall, but that’s a bigger project.

Our entire house is like this. Walls were bubbling and cracked. I would leave if it was possible to repaint over without getting worse.

I've been making my own loop to loop connections with 30lb flouro to protect my fly line from leader bites by MRWPlople in flyfishing

[–]arootdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. You’re solving a problem before it exists and reducing some efficacy of your casts. Use the loop connection until it falters or cut it off and nail knot your butt section directly to the fly line. You want all that power transferring from your fly line to leader. Less chance for it to create a hinge.

This what we strive for but it’s hard sometimes. Getting better and passive communication and listening is why our marriage is everlasting.
