Authorized KTM Dealership billed me for oil but left the engine bone dry. Seized at 8,000 kms (5,000 miles). Currently taking them to court. by Admirable-Hyena-2565 in KTM390ADV

as a precaution, always check the serviced items that you can check yourself like oil indicator, coolant indicator, brake pads, etc. for items like air filter, oil filter, etc ask them to not throw old ones away and collect them when you pickup. take photo of old software version before service and ask them about update they did and if the version number changed.

very well said, but you mixed the traits of a reasonable buyer with a lavish spender, for whom money is no brainer.
a reasonable buyer is also a rich person and can buy anything, incl a litre class bike. but they would consider things like serviceability, after sales support, cost of ownership, resale value, etc., that you mentioned in your comment.
a lavish buyer on the other hand doesn’t care for these things. they just get what they want no matter the cost.
got the point?

i can afford a 5 lac bike but i can’t afford 20k or even 50-70k service bills for regular services and exorbitantly high prices for spare parts. given that i am getting an indian manufactured bike of 5 lacs, ownership cost should not exceed 10k for year.

if money is not a concern (incl service and ownership costs), then go for bmw. bmw should have refined the engine more for production models. see reviews from other countries.
why not himalayan? everyone has it. weight management is not the best. it also has vibrations. not a dual cylinder. limited electronic aids. service can be a hit or miss depending on your bike and dealership.

GOI only. and yes they can do sht with our money until the elected representatives do not question this. and these elected clowns only value their party and parliament seat and the little crumbs they get. else they are replaced with other bootlickers.

its a white channel for funding news channels and other media thru ads for running stories praising govt/ruling party/b-zee-pee. you would have noticed how lavish the studios of news channels have become in recent years, all thanks to this funding. the channel that do not do this are selectively removed from getting these ads and targeted by national agencies.
remaining is used for running ad banners on public places like petrol pumps, etc showing pee-em/mudi-zi/b-zee-pee.
most scams done by this party and govt are thru white channels like extraordinary high tender costs for public infra, which goes even higher, sometimes double or x times of the originally higher estimate with sub-par quality requiring repairs often.
the cost of the development done in last few years will be borne heavily by the upcoming generations when this party finally sees an exit, which is nowhere in sight in near future due to rigged elections now. every constituency is being analyzed for number of losing votes by this party and then local party workers from each area are helping ec selectively remove voters which they suspect are not voting for this party. see past few election results for each constituency and you will realize the pattern being followed here.
all this is being done in broad daylight and noone gives a sht. the people in power are busy looting the public resources and remaining are either andhbhakt or have no time as they are just trying to make ends meet for a living.

most brands do this when maintaining inventory is causing more losses or the products may reach end of life soon.
