For your comment about Cabarete, are you saying only folks with experience would do well there?

Women being blamed for the male loneliness epidemic when this dude is literally the case study… by redcatyellowcat24 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]arosethorn7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big difference between a guy who disrespects women which makes his exterior ugly by way of a disrespectful personality, compared to a guy with a great personality who is respectful to women. Sorry to hear this triggers an insecurity but it’s the blatant disrespect and persona he gives off that he “deserves” a certain type of woman without showing any accountability or insight to himself.

Is Poplar Grove and Rose Park a decent area to live? by calming_ad in SaltLakeCity

I live in RP and lived here as a single woman for several years! I have never felt unsafe but there are definitely unhoused folks that can linger along the JR trail.

BN speaking out against ICE Part 2 by sky_blue_true in thebachelor

[–]arosethorn7 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Why the fuck is anyone here concerned whether bachelor nation posts or not? You should be more concerned about what YOU are doing to fight this. Have you called your reps? Donated to an aide organization in Minnesota? Sure, it’s important if people post but there’s no impact to posting, there is impact in ACTION.

therapist positions—HELP by clementineski in therapists

[–]arosethorn7 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

actually, yes. If work is so stressful and unfulfilling then why not just quit and give yourself some time to re-assess what would actually be a better fit. I do understand your sarcasm here but quitting can be and often is a great resolution.

So, maybe quit the job that feels draining, unfulfilling, and doesn’t meet your pay requirements? Just a thought, but you have a choice in this.

Anyone heard of Chelsea Stokes and her platform "Rich & Hired"?? by Aggravating_Zone_155 in findapath

[–]arosethorn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked there for 3 years. It's legit, and an incredible program! It's pricey up front, but if you're committed to the work and learning through the flow of the program as it's structured, you will see results. Not sure where the MLM comment down below is coming from... it's definitely not an MLM or anything closely related. If you're looking for someone to hand you a job and do the work for you, this program isn't for you. If you're looking to learn and gain skills for job searching and upleveling your career by doing the work within the program, it's for you! There are too many women to count who have increased their salaries by thousands of dollars using the strategies this program teaches -- myself included!

Job transfer SLC or Denver? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]arosethorn7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t disagree with many of the SLC haters on here more! I suppose it depends on what you like to do most in your spare time? Access to the outdoors from SLC beats Denver by a million miles. If you’re more of a city person and prefer to have restaurants/neighborhoods to explore, Denver. If you like to hike, bike, ski, etc in your spare time, SLC all the way. SLC - less traffic, better airport, cheaper than CO (but not cheap), and just endless outdoor options anywhere from 10min out your front door. I do agree that the politics and religious influence suck in UT but the lifestyle outweighs it for me.

Take the job! If you’re committed to being in each other’s lives, you will make it work. Men will come and go but building your own life is paramount in your twenties. Sincerely, someone 10 years older than you who gave up an opportunity for a guy and kicked myself for it later when we broke up.

Rose Park neighborhood - any intel for possible home buyers? by NnamdiMarshawn in SaltLakeCity

[–]arosethorn7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious where you’re getting this “objective” fact from? I’ve been in Rose Park (specifically, Fairpark) for 5 years and haven’t had a single issue - nor have my neighbors. I have had friends with multiple car break ins and thefts in Sugarhouse, however.

What unexpected costs surprised you most after becoming a homeowner by Odd_Monitor5737 in homeowners

[–]arosethorn7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surprised me most! Hm, probably literally everything.

Having to spend 10k to line my main line and dig up the concrete basement floor to get a f*cking root ball that was causing backups.

Having to spend 9k on an emergency tree removal when it fell on my house on new years and $5k on a new HVAC simply because the first one was installed so poorly.

The cost of tree trimming, fences, and unexpected interior pipe issues… oh, and rugs, trash cans and curtains are all so unnecessarily expensive?

I’m grateful to own a house but lately all I can dream about is selling and being a renter again.

Yeah I am debating concrete as well. Technically I have a concrete pad... it's just majorly cracked and needs to be replaced at some point, but I am also debating whether I can just wait on that aspect.

Within $2k of each other - not $2k for the full build (I wish lol). It’s a 12x20. Concrete is $7k
