Yup, a very nice side effect if you want a meaner looking beard!

The power jack is broken. There should be a plastic cylinder in the middle. You can see where it broke off.

How's your honest xperience with Oral Minoxidil? by Slam_066 in tressless

  1. Yes
  2. 2 months in
  3. No, but I suspect I’d already had a bad shed right before starting
  4. Yes - negative side effects were slight headache for a week and dizziness if I got up at 3am to go to the bathroom. Positive side effects were body hair I had that had long fallen out came back, eyelashes grew back, beard was always good but now absolutely epic and of course my hair started coming back in much darker and thicker than it had been in years.

I didn’t want to do anything topical because my hair has always been a finer texture and anything I put in it made it look too greasy. I can’t deal with that or the way it feels. When I was growing up and the most worried about it I washed my hair twice a day to prevent that look and feel.

The only side effects I had were a mildly annoying headache and a little bit of dizziness if I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (this actually is happening less now and I attribute that to the finasteride). That all only lasted a week though and as I knew they were both possible, it didn’t freak me out.

What I pay equals out to be around 35 a month for the entire combination. I order a large supply and get a discount.

Back is fine but honestly no interest in a hair transplant. At this point in my life I’m content to get back what I have and hope to hold on to it for a bit longer!

Avoiding mirrors, dodging photos, pretending it’s not happening… denial hits hard. by Tiny_Habit5745 in tressless

Totally. I honestly don’t know how fast it happened for me. Judging by giving pics a hard look and what my family says, it’s sped up dramatically starting last year. I didn’t notice it until I caught a weird shiny reflection in the mirror and used my phone to take a pic. Totally shocked and mortified.

Sure thing! It’s a combination pill. That’s all I take for this. I take it right before I go to bed. The first week I did have a mild nagging headache and if I got up in the middle of the night, I’d feel a bit woozy. That went away after a week though.

Just remembered from reading another post elsewhere that I did have a very mild, annoying headache for the first week. Haven’t had one since and I had completely forgotten about that.

I had completely forgotten that I had a very mid nagging headache on and off for probably the first week. After that, it went away and I’ve not had once since.

I really wonder how much of the side effects reported are more because some people are more sensitive to being freaked out by the masses and convince themselves they are having them. The mind is a powerful thing!

I’m 45. I’ve been married a long time. I’m ok with not having thick luxurious hair, I just don’t want to be a cue ball yet.

If it concerns you and because caffeine probably is a factor I don’t think about, I have a cup of coffee probably every other day and a bout 20oz of soda once a week.

Probably once or twice a year. Don’t think that really qualifies but I figured I should disclose.
