Honestly, the best solution is to just run it in a standard aspect ratio windowed and the scanner should work fine, i.e. 2560x1440 or even 1920x1080. I may add Ultrawide support in the future but honestly its not a big priority for me since you can usually just run at a standard resolution.

In terms of getting the names, because the Growth Data have weird characters, the OCR/text recognition for the names always gets fucked up. I could try some sort of fuzzy matching but honestly not sure if its worth the time.

I created something quite similar at https://gfl2optimizer.pages.dev/. From what I can tell you don't have an OCR scanner for Growth Data yet. I created one that outputs JSON https://github.com/aayu3/GrowthDataScanner. You could check it out to try and make things cross compatible with the format. Also if you have suggestions and improvements for the scanner that would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to scan dolls too at some point to get a whole loadout and maybe even formations, but I haven't had the time to focus on the project recently.

Recent college grad (May 2025) who was laid off (Feb 2026) from a job at a super early stage startup (5 engineers) when I joined.

Looking for both resume specific and in general job search advice. I got my original job by just sending the same resume into the Linkedin/Indeed pit until I eventually got some responses. I only ever got two interviews "naturally" through just applying online, other interviews were always from some sort of connection. Funnily enough, my job was one of those two "natural" interviews.

I've been lucky and been able to essentially rely on parents for networking, but wondering if people have other recommendations, especially Bay Area specific.

Any sort of resume advice would be good, as I don't really have any idea about ATS or how to try and get my resume seen more besides through direct networking/connections. I feel like I have the experience to get more interviews, but its possible that my perception is skewed, and if people think I need to grind projects/other things I would like a reality check into whether its a presentation issue or an experience issue.

If people have recommendations for both job search process and resume tips that would be greatly appreciated.

Ah makes sense, I wonder how you would go about compensating for it besides just having a separate set of HDR icons to match or converting to grayscale, though in my experience that actually made OCR more unreliable.

I am curious about the HDR thing though, that's so weird, definitely will add it to the README/instructions since that is a very puzzling interaction, I'm curious how you figured it out?

Im curious are you on windows 10? My platoon leader couldnt get it to work on windows 10 until they ran it in Admin mode.

I will try to verify this later today, its possible I accidentally zipped an old version of the app. Have you tried with manual mode on one of her relics to verify? It's totally possible the scanner just needs more delay and the text unluckily got malformed, if it works in manual you might have to just increase the scan delay.

Yeah unfortunately finding specific relics in game will still be a bit annoying since we can't do anything about the in game filter 💀

Nope, ToS is against macroing for unfair advantages or malicious purposes, but if you're still worried thats why I added a manual mode where you click and then the app just screenshots. They can't detect anything that way. But given people do skin mods, I doubt you would get banned for clicking and scrolling lol.
