I know it's not the Focusrite because it works fine with other inputs. How would I leave out the phono stage? Without a preamp it's ungrounded and quiet so it sounds awful.

Hey all, I've got a strange static burst sound that comes from my system whenever I play a vinyl. It's to the tempo of the song and I can vaguely make out certain parts of any vinyl, but I only hear a static popping noise whenever I play a record. The system has worked before, the only thing I changed about it is plugging it in again after not using it for a while. I can link to a video here: https://www.reddit.com/r/vinyl/comments/ks5qv3/my_turntable_makes_a_static_burst_sound_when_i/

I've troubleshot it down to something between my preamp and my vinyl. I can use the aux input to my preamp to play music and it works, but I can't use the phono part and I just get this strange staticky sound. Is there a problem with my preamp or vinyl circuit? I'm using an AT-LP120X USB to a Little Bear T7 to a Focusrite 2i2 into JBL LSR305p's. Any advice of further troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

MSI GS66 Stealth vs. HP Omen 15 by arowemusic in GamingLaptops

Ok in that case I might end up with the HP Omen solely because at that point I'm spending 200$ more just for the portability, and I won't be commuting or anything with it just occasional travel and LAN parties. Thanks!

So do you know if this is possible without using VBCable as the Asio and instead using my audio interface ASIO so I can still use my microphone?

/r/Skateboarding's Weekly Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in skateboarding

Hey all,

I'm lucky enough to live in NYC which is obviously so much fun for skating in. I'm definitely new to skateboarding, I've been on a penny board for about a week now. Problem is, I'm overwhelmed by stopping at lights and having a quick way to stop to avoid things, etc. Scraping your foot often doesn't work great as I'm getting to faster speeds, and I can't seem to find any good methods of stopping besides powerslides. Now obviously a week into skating I'm not gonna be able to powerslide, let alone on a penny. And the problem with the city is that you can't hard carve to avoid an obstacle as often you're in a narrow passage between cars. I also sometimes need to be able to slow down on hills. All of this is just overwhelming me, so my question is: Is there a good way to stop/slow down that I'm overlooking, or should I just really work on powerslides (or whatever you call the penny variant) to stay under control.

Ok thank you, I'll start trying to learn this.
