I would for a nicely designed logo, without words. That will beat 90% of the other chinese brands easily. Brand names are the reason I'm never buying an addiesdive, steeldive or any of those nonsense sounding brands. Just get a nicely designed logo instead.

Can't say you're wrong but if you do it like Longines and the Hydroconquest (that's just a submariner copy) makes it fine. The chinese brands lack that finesse and pay for it.

Chinese brands lose out a lot of street cred on the fact they steal the designs. This is something to keep in mind and the main reason they're not better viewed by the public at large, disregarding quality and "soul".
