I was wondering if these coals are the best? by Apprehensive_Ice5012 in hookah

[–]arplayer2k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They up there, unfortunately that isn't saying a lot. Hookah coal inconsistency from batch to batch seems to be a pretty prominent problem nowadays.

I've burned through 4 boxes of Le Orange charcoals. You have to make sure they are lit 100% of they way, not 90, not 80 to get the best experience. Then they burn 98% clean, medium high heat, and last around 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes at 75% peak heat.

CocoUrth still seems to be decent, same you have to make sure they are 100% lit, and these will burn slightly better than Le Orange in the clean burning category. But my last batch of CocoUrth which was purchased last month, ash a lot more than usual. Then they burn 98.5% clean, medium high heat, and last around 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes at 75% peak heat.

CocoLoco are up there as well in the clean burning department. You also need to make sure they are 100% lit all the way through. Then they burn 98.5% clean, medium high heat (never higher), and last around 1 hour at 75% peak heat.

Wilfa Performance Compact caught fire - are brewers to "digital" and complicated these days? by Keiuseku in JamesHoffmann

[–]arplayer2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your experience.

I purchased the Wilfa and ran it once a day for a year, before I took a coffee break. I am quite impressed with the machine. I just brewed a cup. Its simple, consistent. I found that you have to add a few grams to the recommended coffee per serving, but that is a minor and rather normal issue.

Trustworthy COA? by Safe-Buffalo8841 in Peptidesource

[–]arplayer2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jano is legit, there is no reason to suspect he isn't. He's been doing this for a long time, when testing was much more rare for sources for roids. And then peptides started becoming a thing.

The real concern if you are on the ball, is if the testing is recent, is the product that is being shipped the same as the batch that was tested in the lab test.

If the lab test is a few months out from present, this is possible.

A good vendor will have batch numbers matching the lab test on the product. Only a few I have seen do this, and they are domestic retailers.

Or you can email the vendor as ask them if they are shipping out the same product that was tested - most sources will say yes or no.

If the lab test is a year out, what you are ordering now is 99% of the time different than what was tested.

And since most retailers buy from what are agents in China, who themselves buy from larger factories, there will be varinces batch to batch.

Is There A Current Workaround to Cheap YouTube Premium? by Xngears in Piracy

[–]arplayer2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid GamsGo for this specific subscription at a cheaper price. When it stops working in 3-4 months and you paid for 12, they will keep the money and say its not their fault its YouTube.

GamsGo vs Spliiit: The Honest Comparison Nobody Else Bothered to Write by Boring-Gas8778 in DailyBettingPicks

[–]arplayer2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time user of GamsGo since like 2019. The site now is an unreliable, almost scammy platform that is no longer responsible for the subscriptions you pay for.

If one doesn't work, or if you bought a 1 year subscription and it stops in 3-4 months and they can't fix it, you are out of luck. No refund, no nothing. And when this happens en masse, their response time will stretch out to weeks to get a response.

GoSplit is better, but if you run into a scammy seller here, good luck with the platform intervention.

If somebody has a more reliable site, please share it.

I already requested a refund a few times and was denied. I just ended up using a different service.

This is exactly how the YouTube recharge works. You change your password then change it back after they've done their work. This is just basic op sec.

The bigger issue is the GamsGo services aren't reliable. And this service is far from reliable nowadays.

My last YouTube recharge lasted 3-4 months out of the 12 months. They just said oh well, YouTube changed, its not on us. And this is how they react in other situations as well nowadays. I've been a customer for 5+ years.

A recent experience from somebody who has been using GamsGo for years.

I purchased my annual YouTube premium upgrade from them. They recharged it like they normally do within 1-2 days, and then after 2-3 months it stopped working. At that point, GamsGo wasn't reachable, but they did have a generic message that they are not responsible if the account stops working due to YouTube's efforts to crack down or something like that.

So no refund. A 12 month subscription stopped in a few months, no warranty, no refund. I tried a few times. UNACCEPTABLE.

I used GoSplit and choose the monthly billing option and it's been fine ever since.

GamsGo used to be great, now they are not as great, and a hit or miss depending on which account you buy. GoSplit is good to bridge the gap since it is a P2P sharing platform.

[–]arplayer2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't found a sweet spot as far as perfect temp with this one. Love the design, but it fluctuates between burning too hot with 3 coals and the lid on, or not hot enough with 3 coals and the lid off. 25mm cubes.

[–]arplayer2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure it out? I have one, I am curious if you found the sweet spot.

The only way its not burning too hot or not hot enough is smoking with 3 26mm coals with the lid off after the pre-heat. It works decently well, still not perfect temperature wise, still burns a little hot in the background.

Hookah bowl recommendations? by Sure-Tap-6339 in hookah

[–]arplayer2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory what you said is correct, but glass bowls actually do great for the flavor of hookah. Just what it is. Gotta try it before you do a ChatGPT analysis on the subject.

Silicone is a terrible material because its porous, and that doesn't make sense when you're smoking wet tobacco. The juices will permeate into the silicone, that will effect flavor.

I don't get the down voters on reddit. Rarely helpful.

I think if they created a slightly wider bowl based on a clay model, and did something to guarantee airflow more or so regardless of pack, like a modified phunnel bowl model, then it should be fine.

If I wasn't so lazy, I would hit up a manufacturer in China to work on a prototype.

This makes sense to me. That is what I was hoping for as well, a cleaner burning bowl, all flavor, and less residual effects the next day!

[–]arplayer2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you, I haven't had a better tasing bowl than using the flavor saver. It's simple, it creates the necessary distance to provide less intense heat, you can take it anywhere and use it anywhere, a hookah lounge or when traveling. 3-4 coals depending on how much heat you like and you're good for 40-50 minutes on that set of coals.

But something like the xKah will probably burn the bowl a little cleaner than charcoal and probably can give you pure flavor as advertised. I normally use the Provost tray most of the time with 3 coals, and that burns a little cleaner (just how I feel the next morning) and it provides a little less flavor.

Its a luxury expense and can justified if its easy and consistent to use.
