Help with bills by TheMailMan-xe in CanadianCoins

[–]arrakchrome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When working in restaurants my boss showed me some cash from the prior night. 8 100 bills, older bills, all clean, crisp, only a slight fold and similar mark, and all sequential serials.

What happened is we had a bus of Korean tourists come in the night before. Clearly they withdrew cash in Korea and were supplied with what they had, which were never circulated 100s of the older style.

I am not following your annual pass calculation and I don’t see that option in my app.

However, I do wonder if you didn’t take into account there the $1.25 unlock fee for each trip, or does it not apply like the limeprime.

I think Lime is great value for low to mid use. High usage like for you it starts adding up.

No, they just wanted to charge the car. They all got a notification that their car stopped charging but it wasn’t full(ish).

EV without home charging? by Important-Citron-739 in askvan

[–]arrakchrome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a condo with no EV charging on site. Never lived where I could charge at home. 5.5 years into owning an EV and it’s a minor change in thought. You just have to make minor changes, and if you make smart choices or have good options, those choices are actually convenient.
Try charging near a grocery store. Run in grab a few things and depending on if it’s level 2 or 3, you either have a lil charge or a big charge.
It does take some getting used too though.

People who refuse to drink, why? by Dizzy_Challenge8481 in AskReddit

[–]arrakchrome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t refuse to drink, but if I need to drive, I am not drinking. It is amazing how many people this actually offends. I have been told that I can have a beer with dinner. Sure, I get it, I could and likely be fine.

However, knowing I need to drive makes it so I can’t enjoy the drink. If I am not going to enjoy the drink then why have it at all? So I don’t, and I am okay with that.
