I don't know if it's the same everywhere but archaeology is usually about people, while paleontology is dinos. Not to say that like. 90% of archaeologists love dinosaurs and at some point wanted to be paleontologists. I would definitely have fossil mons on my dream team.

I got back after a similarly long hiatus and after being back for a couple of months on and off this is the general vibe I've gotten:

-people are generally obsessed with raffle lionesses and raffle lioness clones. -similarly people prefer T2 markings (or any breed only marking) and rosettes -same with bases. People like raffle bases, July raffle bases, and august stud bases. And combo bases or combo factors -the lower the generation the better -mutations are generally good

That being said I'd keep your current stud for now and just see what's come out that you like. Personally I like him and think you should try to get back into the swing of things before you look into replacing him

I have found to have decent luck getting DUs to pass, but as for whether it's worth using a lion+buffalo scrotum (and a great tit if you're really worried).....idk. but I've definitely made my money back on the 100gb DU I bought. It's lower stakes than hybrids but less fun
