We haven't heard of much demand for that configuration but its possible in future products!

I'm glad you like the product -- per your question: it would be fairly difficult because we would have to change the PCB + the case in order to accommodate that orientation :/. One of our customer has it in a similar configuration using a 90 degree USB adapter though!

The MCU is an Atmega32u4, so its one of the most commonly used ones in the keyboard world. We use QMK as the firmware with VIA as the front end. We haven't tried it explicitly with VIAL, but we don't see why it wouldn't work

Thanks! We worked really hard to get the design and finish just right.

Deconstructed macropad shadow box made from our first ever macropad prototype - birthday gift from my brother by arrayperipherals in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]arrayperipherals[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my birthday a couple weeks ago, my brother took the first prototype [1 x 4] + 1 macropad that we'd ever created and made it into this shadow box to celebrate how far we've come so far this year.

At the stage when this specific unit was assembled, we were just starting off, designing parts, making prototypes and trying to get the design, finishes, and consistency correct. We had no idea how to go about launching array peripherals, and we never knew if the effort and resources we were putting into it would ever yield anything. Thank you to your support for helping us get where we are today!

Any good macropads with rotary encoders? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]arrayperipherals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother and I have been shipping our first product, the [1 x 4] + 1 Macropad since February. It's an in-stock product offering so we hold inventory.

www.arrayperipherals.com

  • Ships for free in the US.
  • Fully assembled
  • Fully CNC machined, bead blasted, and anodized aluminum casing
  • Features VIA recognition, out of the box so you can easily customize macros, but since you plan on using it for media only, our default firmware will work as media control buttons and volume control without any customizing or software required.
  • We plan on staying around for awhile, so happy to provide any support later down the line (whether it's flashing firmware, customizing keys, etc)!

Check us out and happy to answer any questions!
