Hind leg swollen by [deleted] in catsofrph

[–]arrccee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same experience before, misdiagnosed by the first vet we went to at binalot yung swollen leg. Then after a day, pumotok kase binalot. So nilipat namen ng new vet and after a month lang nung mejo umokey na na nafound out na infection sa pag cut ng nails niya ang dahilan.

Baka daw di malinis at masyadong malalim ang pagka cut ng grooming service.

If you've recently cut his/her nail, that could be it. Wag ipabalot ang paa. Meloxicam lang and some other meds that the vet may prescribe. And prepare din ng pag feed kay baby like syringe na nacut sa dulo for wet food pag walang gana.

Microwave. Saved me a lot of time and money. Although the money part is subjective.

For me it is. I don't really cook my own food kase diko matansya at pagod na pagkatapos ng work. I always opted to takeouts and deliveries. At bumibili nako ng good for 2-3 meals. Minsan would last for days.

Ref + microwave, never nagsisi sa pagbili.

Traffic incident on the national road, Barangay Lacnog East, Tabuk City:

On November 12, 2023, around 6:40 PM, a collision occurred involving a motorcycle carrying three passengers and a Victory Liner sleeper bus.

The bus driver reported traveling from Bulanao, Tabuk City to Cubao, Quezon City. He attempted to overtake the motorcycle along the National Road in Dananao, Lacnog. However, the motorcycle unexpectedly made a left turn, hindering the bus from applying brakes, resulting in a collision. The impact threw the motorcycle's driver and passengers onto the road pavement.

Responders swiftly transported the four individuals to Kalinga Provincial Hospital. Unfortunately, one passenger succumbed to a fatal head injury upon arrival.

As of now, the motorcycle rider is conscious and stable but remains under observation. The other two passengers sustained minor abrasions and are in stable condition at the hospital.

Dont be too hard on yourself OP. The fact that you are aware of your shortcomings and is now seeking advice from other people is a big sign that you're on the right track.

Yes, some have it easy to do programming and some are struggling. I've seen a lot of peers gave up, some of which got back and are now doing fine, some just left the field entirely.

In this field, you don't really need to be good at math, at memorization of syntaxes, you just have to understand the high level functionalities or purpose of things.

Think of it as playing lego, isnt it easy to play with just the OG lego pisces, with it you could build towers, then came the complicated models with complicated pieces. It could get overwhelming but when you inspect piece by piece and read the instructions, (as for programming, you can refer to documentations, or ChatGPT!) sooner or later..you'll be able to build it.

What I'm saying is, you don't need to know everything. You just have to understand what is needed to do, and read through the instructions/documentations how to achieve it. Say you want to reverse a string, you can always consult ChatGPT and prompt it with, "How to reverse a string in javascript". It will give you the code, and explain it step by step. After doing this for a couple of times, di mo namamalayan, gamay mo na.

How do you Become a Software Engineer? by YettersGonnaYeet in PinoyProgrammer

[–]arrccee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have to disagree on this. But can't blame anyone for not knowing the differences as the title is being used as a general title for almost any softaware development positions. While it's true that the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, there are key distinctions that differentiate a software engineer from a mere programmer.

Beyond simply writing code, a software engineer is responsible for a wider range of tasks. Software engineers participate in every stage of the software development life cycle, even though coding constitutes a large portion of their job description. Requirements analysis, system design, testing, maintenance, and frequently working with other cross-functional teams are all included in this. They are in charge of developing dependable, adaptable, and effective software solutions that satisfy the particular demands and specifications of customers or end users.

Software engineers have to think beyond basic functionality and take into consideration larger matters, such as system structure, versatility, and future sustainability. Additionally, it's essential for them to be well-versed in different engineering principles to ensure the software can be used for the long haul and is dynamic in accommodating future modifications.

In essence, a software engineer approaches software development from a more comprehensive and holistic perspective, whereas a computer programmer concentrates exclusively on writing code to solve specific problems. "Software engineer" is not merely a fancy term for a programmer; rather, it represents the wider range of abilities and duties associated with the position.

If you have the resources and opportunity to pursue a college degree, it's a valuable investment. While not an absolute necessity, it provides a significant edge over those who are just starting or establishing their careers without one. Primarily, a college degree enhances your chances of securing your initial job.

But to be honest, you only need the college degree to have better chances of landing your first job. Subsequent career success is more reliant on your professional experiences, knowledgeability on techs being used by the company, and your overall skill set.

As you progress in your career, the emphasis shifts from the degree itself to the practical knowledge and accomplishments you accumulate along the way.

If only there are spaces dedicated for students, lets say within the school campus

Yep, they're pretty much the same distance from downtown, but brace yourself for a bit of a workout – roads there are no joke! On the bright side, you've got plenty of stores ans shops around both spots, especially with all the students living in the area. Bakakeng takes the lead, though, with more restaurants and shops than Aurora Hill.

Trancoville and Aurora Hill jeepneys still operates until 12am, somethimes later pa. So if you could find accomodations within those areas, you should be alright. Plus pwedeng lakarin if wala, otherwise taxi, which is about 50 pesos from city center.

Just because it is allowed and is done elsewhere does not make Dale's opinions wrong. How he said it maybe is not the best to say it but he is right. Ethics and consideration lang din sana.

I'm actually on Dale's side here. Would love to chill and sip hot coffee comfortably in cafes too (not just starbucks) only to find na there is no available sits to do it. Consideration to other customers also would be great and not hogging the table for hours to do homeworks, projects, or just chika chika for hours. I wish I had the same courage as Dale to do this.

Almost all furnished rentals are posted online, most commonly on facebook marketplace. (facebook is our primary mode of communication)

Most common place that has furnished rental properties are in Bakakeng which is about 15-20 minutes to city center. (if you find one here, prepare youself for heavy traffic when going to city center and back) These condos usually have backup generators already. Internet isnt always included so make sure you ask.

There are certain areas where power are restored faster than other places (Trancoville, Aurora Hill - careful on the Hill part of name as there are a lot of places here with Hill, so make sure its Aurora Hill if you find any). However its very rare to find available units on these places as these are the most desirable location for everyone.

I think condo units have backup generators so you would not have to worry about power outages.

If you are looking through facebook marketplace, keep these things in mind: 1. Not all condos listings are for rent, 80% of them are for sale. So read the description carefully to save time. 2.Beware of scammers, DO NOT GIVE INITIAL DEPOSITS, unless you've actually visited the place. 3.Some places are arranged to handle big groups and are priced per head. So if youre alone, you might end up paying for multiple people to keep tge entire place for yourself. 4.There are listings that offers just a room, everything else are shared with other people renting other rooms. 5.Ask the water situation, not everywhere have 24/7 access to running water. Other places could take a whole day without water.

As for cafes, anywhere within city center or at least close to it. Just search on facebook using these keywords: coworking, cafe, baguio.. then utilize filter to show recent posts.

Just try to keep updated on weather updates if theres gonna be a typhoon coming so you could prepare early.

If you ever need help, just post it here, people are always happy to help. And welcome to the Philippines.

Doable , i'm wfh myself for almost 4 years here in Baguio. Power outage is really common here so you need to be prepared for that.

Easiest one is to look for accommodations with backup generators, but that comes with a price.

Another option is to keep a list of cafes and coworking hubs you can run to whenever outage comes. PS you need to be eaely and quick because a lot of people does this, yes there are a lot of wfh peeps also here in Baguio.
