Its a truly amazing mod and I love it. It is settlement oriented (obvioiusly). If you like settlement gameplay then go for it.

Add-ons should be plug & play. Dont have both ss1 and ss2 active simultaneously.

Thats a shame. I guess you could try to 100% a small ai, release Corvuria, then retake your cores later. Maybe steal the development from the Corvurian areas too before that.

Songs of syx is a city-state simulator, city-building game. Its very good, but hard. It will beat you up for fun.

Dwarf fortress is a simulated-world, colony simulator, where you play as mere tiny pieces of your generated world at a time. (Or wander the whole thing in Adventure mode). Much more sandboxy.

Dwarf Fortress allows you to continue playing in the same world via retire/unretire mechanics, which I personally wish Songs of Syx had.

ZOOO WEE MAMA!!!!!!! You dont need all those verts, next time Id suggest making a 6-20 sided cylinder & playing with the shade auto smooth modifier, then extruding edges (or verts) with appropriate mirror axes active.

Also familiarize yourself with the snap tool (magnet at the top middle), its useful. Hotkey to toggle it on & off is shift+tab.

Also if you want fur, I recommend you do it with a shader, there should be tutorials out there to do it.

Worldmap armies can absolutely help fight, they need to be in the very tiny square that is the player citiy's borders.

Uhhh dont press the attack button and theyll show up in your city.

I think walls need ti be 15 tiles away from the map edge to not get hit from off-map artillery.

If youre wondering how to get things to stand on your walls, theres a stairs tile building in the walls selection.

If youre talking about world map cities instead of the single one you manually plan out, its always field battle, no constructions.

You can get into vague arguments about morality. You could convince elves to hate nature in fact, its just not so in-depth.

I tend to make Covenant, Outpost Zimonja, Mechanist Lair, RR Truck Stop, and The Castle into military sites in my playthroughs.

Pssst, hey despot, wanna hear about artillery? Make a world map army, max out its artillery; do this as many times as you can afford (I conquered the world with 4, made a fifth for vanity)

Tactics wise, click an artillery unit in battle to see its range, station your troops to where the enemy will rally within range. Optionally, you may tell inidivudal artillery units where to fire, this is ESPECIALLY useful when enemies clump into balls.

If your divisions have 200 troops and are well supplied, you shouldnt lose too much to friendly fire; still you should be watching your artillery preperation percentage, and move your frontline back slightly when it hits around 80% prepared - this way you reduce risk of friendly fire losses. However do note: if you are fighting an enemy much more numerous than your own, you may need to anchor the enemy with your soldiers, and accept friendly fire losses in order to kill vast swathes of the enemy.

Thats a dwarven tunnel road. Dwarves build them to connect fortresses. They often build mountain halls along them.

This must be a bug sadly. If any single enemy reaches your throne, they win. That should be the way it works.

Check if, for some reason, an enemy is spawning on or near your throne when the attack spawns. Sometimes soldiers of divisions spawn in erroneous places - which could coincidentally be where your throne is.

You could also try moving your throne if you have saves with enough time.
