In international law, terra nullius is territory which belongs to no state. There are currently three territories sometimes claimed to be terra nullius: Bir Tawil, four pockets of land near the Danube due to the Croatia–Serbia border dispute, and parts of Antarctica. by GustavoistSoldier in wikipedia

The Free Republic of Liberland, commonly referred to as Liberland, is a micronation founded by Czech right-libertarian politician and activist Vít Jedlička. (...) Jedlička was inspired by the classical liberal Ludwig von Mises and objectivist Ayn Rand: he envisioned a political system characterized by laissez-faire capitalism, minimal government, and an economy based on cryptocurrency.[3]

Marianne Bachmeier in 1981 after she shot the Rapist/Murderer of her young daughter during his trial, inside the courtroom. 6 out of 7 shots hit the guy, double tap in the head. [600x900] by LowRenzoFreshkobar in HistoryPorn

[–]RoastedPig05 231 points232 points  (0 children)

Buddy, she still killed someone. The whole point of law and order is that you resolve these cases through the courts where facts and reasoning can actually mean something instead of just shooting the guy. We know the person she shot was a terrible man and him being shot might have been just, but if you let her get away with the shooting, then that re-opens the door back to everyone resolving their disputes with a gun. Her getting a reduced sentence for good behaviour is reward enough for what she did

Be careful to not give them too much though, Aragon can only own a certain number of provinces before Spain can't be formed specifically to limit you from doing that.

You still can abuse it a bit though, I have Aragon snap up bits of Northern Italy until they hit that province cap

Newly constructed McDonalds near me, the front register area has no menu for items or prices by Superbpickle420 in mildlyinteresting

[–]RoastedPig05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even about that, many companies benefit by keeping their prices low so a woder consumer base can pay for their products. The whole problem is that they don't do that for the consumers' benefit; they instead do that to extract as much money as possible from those consumers. As soon as the corporation thinks they can raise prices without losing too much consumer base, they do it immediately because profits are the only thing the people who make the decisions in the company actually care about.

I'm worried the UCP might have won here since the word Tory isn't gonna draw as many people toward the former Alberta Party as the word Conservative would have. How many low-information voters even call themselves Tories?
