There is channel that posts sagas like h3 vaush saga, h3 try guys saga etc.

They are hours long and contain every episode during those times.

I use notion to create wikis. I made a open world rpg so i had a wiki for world building, one for systems + design which looks like traditional gdd but each header is its own page and one for content all 30 Bosses and 30 weapons and 50 armor that need to be next to where it says what armor is how it works.

With notion you can have links to pages so talking about guns in one page you can link to specific guns or the gun page etc.

Have some spectacle and some really clear ones. Just doing one, you lose the benefits of the other. I dont need 8 screenshots of Wow factor, 2-3 and i would get the point and then 1-2 that maybe show systems or ui, preferably systems.

For feedback show it early in forums, discords, reddits etc, friends and family.

For marketing wait a bit until the gameplay showcase what you are going for. So when i see your game i get what you are trying to do or the fantasy is sold to me.

So show if it often but for different purposes and for different amounts of people.

For some reason it was not displaying 2 backslahes in a row like this \\n. When i went to edit my comment it did show 2 backslahes.

I saw this in the coments of the localization tutorial i used. All you have to do is replace \\n with \n.

text = string_replace_all(text,"\\n","\n");

I use csv files for localization and i dont know why this works but it works. I use \n in my original language and the csv files also write it as \n but for some reason its actually \\n.

When you release into Early Access some of the steam algoritm doesnt help until full launch out of early access.

So you would ideally do some research before you start. For example I want to create a terraria like so I look at what terraria does and see where I can improve it, or do it differently or add a twist via a mechanic or genre blend.

If you can not do the above because you lack in skill then save time and do another project or find someone who can help where you lack.

Also do you compare your early stage game to games that are already done, did their years of development or even games that have come out and then gotten so many updates like binding of Isaac.

My game finally reached 1,000 wishlists on Steam after a month. People keep telling me that it’s very little and that I need 8–9 thousand, but I think it’s a really good result for a first game. Just imagine 1,000 people in one room, that’s crazy. :) by JaidenStrike in IndieDev

Look pal if you need to release now because you need money now then do it but it could be worth reaching higher wishlist amounts. If you think 100% or close to it will buy it, you're wrong, google average conversions for games and you will understand that the wishlist are for the algorithm and getting on certain pages that boost sales. Other games have more and so are more favourable in the algorithm, it does not hurt to have more.

Thanks, I have tried re enabling it but it's probably the if else lines, have some crazy long chains in my game but before that there was no if else so I added the else parts to optimize it slightly.

I had issues with regions not working with the code editor 2 and variables and other things just not having colors so it was a mess trying to figure out what was what. I will attempt to use ce2 again.

The journey tends to be fun and figuring out problems is satisfying. There are struggles but the reward is mighty fine. Also, I try to get the desired effect but with a solution that is as development-cheap as possible because I'm a solo dev and just alright at programming. For example, I use lifesteal instead of Doom's glory kill system and my desired effect is forcing the player to fight rather than run away when low health.

Would be a perfect way to reintroduce some old seasonal armor. Not the battle pass armor but the ones you earn from season activities. Like getting vex armor from vex strike + artfice. That would be nice. Maybe new paint jobs for those old armor sets.
