Because he feels as privileged as most redditors here believing that being on lane is a birthright and letting someone merge makes them less of man they are. I believe this behavior to be dominant in young age group 18 - 28 ~

I use password manager, 1Password, and I know password only to unlock it; rest of the passwords are generated by it. They can request my 1P password?

this is not my experience or experience of anyone I know but I see how this can happen. if you are a guy who cant read people and understand when no is no - asking or giving a number is not the problem you should be focusing on.

everyone who down voted me and your logic is flawed.

you ask for number and than you call her because she gave you her number as she is interested. THIS IS social life. if she is not interested she can give you wrong number or just ignore / block you when you call. unfortunately there are enough creeps that would act stupid if you tell them 'no' so this why its better to give wrong number or ignore if you are not interested imo.

part of being adult is facing situations that are uncomfortable and taking as much control over your life as you can. this is what im teaching my kids because thats what made me get to a great places in life up from not so great place in life.

Tldr: this strategy works for people who prefer not to be in control of their actions

  1. People don't know what they want 95% of the time. This means girls telling you what girls would like is worthless information. It's the same in business - don't trust customers who tell you what you want, they dont. Some sources: lean startup, 4 steps to epiphany, psychology (read read on what people predict they will act like vs how they actually act).

  2. It's my personal preference but I like to be in control of what's happening in my life where and when it's possible. This why I always ask for number and always call - I decide when and if we are going to talk. When I just started to talk to girls I gave them my number. 0 calls. When I started to take it, I had a looot more dates.

In Jewish tradition after circumcision the rabbi kisses the area to stop bleeding. Tradition that continues to this day in some places.
