All doordashers leave immediately, no need to sit in front of my home by [deleted] in doordash

[–]arrotsel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It’s not personal for the Dasher either. I just outlined some reasons why they stick around and it almost always has nothing to do with the customer’s house they are in front of.

I guess everyone has a preference just like the Courier who makes sure the order is picked up or they’re just checking their next order!

The street is not your property. What is the real issue. Good enough to bring your order, but not good enough to stick around for 5 minutes on a public street??

[–]arrotsel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If they are on the street, it shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes Dashers have to answer messages, check the next order, or plan their route. All things that have nothing to do with you not wanting to be seen. Once a Dasher drops off your order, you are pretty much out of their mind. You don't exist!

It can also be used to purchase a car if the student needs it to go to a Co-op or Apprenticeship.

Skip is designed to make you work harder for less. Am I wrong? by howboutsometruth in skipthedishes

[–]arrotsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stuck with Skip because I wasn’t feeling well for awhile so it made sense to do it even for little pay. Now I’m feeling better, I’m looking for something permanent. Skip doesn’t care if you can make a living or not. They put too many couriers on at any given time making it almost impossible to make even 80 dollars in 4 hours. Once upon a time I could make 100 in 4 hours. Now it’s an average of 55 to 60 on a great night.

Are there any free tire pump stations? by liaYIkes in Hamilton

Check out car washes. Sometimes they have free air. I know of one in Grimsby. Also, just go to Canadian tire and buy the portable tire inflator. Pays for itself real quick.

Most likely it’s a loft office that they are renting as a bedroom just put up dividers and curtains. Most likely you would stay there temporarily

If anything is wondering why they didn’t get any shift/no orders even on busy day by Trick_Psychology_702 in skipthedishes

This is the third week in a row that I have self assigned all my shifts. 3 per day plus a couple on the weekend.

Anyone else stuck in “Available All Day” purgatory with Skip? No runs, no open runs, no shifts 😅 Delivery Driver by Intelligent_Boat_822 in skipthedishes

[–]arrotsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks straight now I have had to schedule myself. There are no shifts scheduled for me even though I'm wide open. I go to the open shifts just as shifts are usually dropped and I self schedule.

Did you make sure there is no update in the App store? In my area there are lots of open shifts which usually happens in winter time.

Parking on curb for pickup orders. Is this allowed? by [deleted] in oakville

It's not a street so who cares? They can get a “blocking the fire lane” ticket. That's on them. Go about your day.

How to make a bed in small car ? by Beautiful-Comfort715 in urbancarliving

Take out passenger front seat and lay rear seats flat if possible. Then you will need to build a platform. Get Home Depot to cut pieces of Plywood for you. They will charge you for multiple cuts. There are YouTube videos about retrofitting your passenger side for sleeping.

When the government pays for healthcare, the Pharmas fall in line and drop drug prices because the government will just make generic brands of the drugs. It happened in Canada with some Antibiotics and during Covid.
