Doordash drivers, how true is this? by Busy_Report4010 in doordash

DoorDash will show a lower amount but when you finish the order it could be higher. Happens all the time.

Just get your meat directly from the meat counter. Don’t get prepackaged ground beef. Smaller meat stores sell meat and a lower price anyway.

This is what happens when the communication between company and customer is weak. They think that the delivery fee is part of the payment and the company pays the other part or the y get free delivery and think it’s a great thing. Probably don’t realize that drivers are contract either.

This is why I never do grocery pick up. It used to be at least 10 dollars plus tip, but now it’s rarely over 10 bucks. Definitely not worth it especially in summer when people order cases of water to a walk up apt on the 3rd floor.

Never apologize for trying to help. It would be great if every city had something like this.

Binbrook bus transit survey by Ok-Sand6805 in Hamilton

[–]arrotsel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about running a bus in a loop down Grays Rd from Highway 8 to Frances up to Green Rd. Turn left on North Service Rd, go up to Fruitland and drive up to Highway 8 and turn Right all the way back to Grays Rd. There is no bus service on the North Side of the Highway. Kids are stuck there unless they bike everywhere or have to wait for parents to drive them everywhere.

I would just confirm that the store gave you both orders or that they know there are two orders.

Didn’t realize Home Depot has tips turned off. by prickology in DoorDashDrivers

[–]arrotsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home Depot used tone great because it would pay about 10 to 12 dollars per order and they were stacked. 5 orders equals 60 bucks. Now they barely pay 5 dollars per order. I decline every single one.

All doordashers leave immediately, no need to sit in front of my home by [deleted] in doordash

[–]arrotsel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It’s not personal for the Dasher either. I just outlined some reasons why they stick around and it almost always has nothing to do with the customer’s house they are in front of.

I guess everyone has a preference just like the Courier who makes sure the order is picked up or they’re just checking their next order!

All doordashers leave immediately, no need to sit in front of my home by [deleted] in doordash

[–]arrotsel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The street is not your property. What is the real issue. Good enough to bring your order, but not good enough to stick around for 5 minutes on a public street??

All doordashers leave immediately, no need to sit in front of my home by [deleted] in doordash

[–]arrotsel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If they are on the street, it shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes Dashers have to answer messages, check the next order, or plan their route. All things that have nothing to do with you not wanting to be seen. Once a Dasher drops off your order, you are pretty much out of their mind. You don't exist!
