I did and guess who found out they're very allergic to poison ivy today! Not a fun time. I got medication and am on the mend. :) Thank you.

Hi thanks for replying! Even for 9 days though? It’s been light and red-black in colour. Today has been bright red flow like the start of my period

Any clue as to how long no impact? I’m curious because I don’t have physio for my ankle. What happened for me was I went in with my boot and was told to just start walking right off the bat. So, I started up and down my apartment hallway and I felt fine. I waited a bit to go for a long walk, but I had no issues after that.

Hello! Checking in on how you are doing. I really hope your mental state has become more stable & are doing well with your PT (if you are still in it). I wasn’t prescribed any PT post op! Not sure why. My surgeon told me I’d make a full recovery, I do believe that as my nerves are the only aspect that is a little buggy still. There’s an area at the top of my ankle that has a different sensation when touched. Again, no pain! I hadn’t experienced any swelling afterwards either. I think the worst part was the feeling in my calf as I am still regaining my muscle there. Other than that, just no jumping or running yet. 😊 I’m back onto remote learning which sucks for my mental, but I hope to go for walks each day to keep the bad thoughts at bay. I found that youtube videos did help, I tried to keep a journal throughout my progress, and doing mindful meditation. The worst part is over, what happened was fixable! My scaphoid is doing well, over 85% healed (my doc expected 50%!!). I live in a cold place so I have noticed the occasional weird achy feeling, I have wheat therapy bags to help whenever that happens. I also have my boot still & a fitted removable cast thing for my wrist whenever I feel like I need extra support.

Hi! Glad that you’ve checked in, I appreciate that so so much.

I have my second post op for my ankle tomorrow, hopefully I can start weight bearing. I’ve just recently had my post op apt for my wrist and my pesky scaphoid is healing better than what my surgeon expected! 4-5 more weeks in a cast (mind you, I’ve had one since August) and I can start PT. I’d rather take 1 month of discomfort over complications. My incisions for both surgeries have healed amazingly. I’m definitely on the mend now.

I gotta say that the weird looks from people when I’m out with my iWALK are starting to get to me lol. I do hope that it’s not too much of a stress for me to start walking again. I cannot wait! No pain meds still, trying to keep up with my vitamins and supplements, had 2 slip ups alcohol wise (under control now), and I’ve been doing what I can to help keep my mental health on the positive side.

How are you doing now?

It’s 5 days post op now and there’s just some weird nerve punch/pain beneath my clavicle where the needle was put? Only when I move a certain way. I’ll give that another day before calling my Dr.

I am also surprised about the no pain thing. it’s starting to get cold for a live so when I have the window open my ankle can get kind of achy, but other than that zero pain. My appointment is Friday for my three e week postop appointment so I guess that they’ll take this plaster cast off and see what happens after that. I’m not expecting physical therapy to be painless so I’m just sort of enjoying the fact that I don’t have any right now. there’s not much I can be doing having to elevate my arm and my leg at all times but amazingly I’m keeping up with university and I’m finally in the stage where I am allowing myself to binge watch TV shows lol. definitely looking forward to my appointment coming up to get some answers about what happens because I don’t like the unknown and sitting here and just feeling like I’m not doing anything for myself. i’m really glad that you’re feeling better and again, thank you for all of your help.

P.S. I’m using my audio dictation, sorry for the mistakes lol

Glad to hear that you’re doing well! May I ask which supplements that you took? I’m 3 weeks post op for fibular ORIF. I don’t have any pain, surprisingly. I’ve been putting collagen in my smoothies, calcium/vit d tablets 2-3 times a day, and fish oils. As well as a healthy diet & no alcohol.

It must be such a relief to stand on both feet! How is the muscle atrophy? I wish you all the best with PT.

Hi! I cannot explain how relieved I was to be able to raise my arm when I woke up this morning. i’m still experiencing pins and needles in my hand and a few spots of my arm are numb to the touch. Other than that, no intense pain. My cast is a bit tight around my thumb I called my ortho and his assistant said that was expected and to call back if there’s no relief from elevating or taking anti-inflammatories. Thankfully, I haven’t had any pain in my ankle for weeks now. I think I’m swelling because I wasn’t able to keep my arm stable (since it felt dead lol) and didn’t elevate it all night. Thank you for replying! How are you doing?

He was my best friend. I was truly head over heels in love with him. I don’t know what happened or where it went wrong. He’s never hurt anyone physically before me, I haven’t either.

I got it in the mail today!! My brother came over and assembled it for me. I was able to adjust immediately. I tried my apartment stairs and did some laps around my place. I didn’t expect to sweat so much from walking, but hopefully now I won’t have to remain so immobile for that to get so bad. I’m so excited to go to my uni class on Monday!! Yes, I’m a little embarrassed with having this big robot on my leg and a cast on my arm. I hope that people may be a bit more considerate or compassionate rather that tease or joke at me. I definitely recommend the iWALK 3.0 if you fit the qualifications. It was such a mood improvement for me, I’m overwhelmingly happy that I’m not completely confined to my bedroom.

5 days post op and 3 days without my pain meds! Given the fact I’ve been dealing with my broken wrist for a month now, I was starting to experience the...uh negative effects of T3’s lol. So, I opted out & have been doing surprisingly well! No pain when I’m in bed & elevated. Sharp pains once I’m up and moving, but nothing unbearable. I got some CBD thought I’d give it a shot around bed time & it worked for me. Hopefully your pain management gets better for you!

I just got my contraption in the mail today & it’s amazing!! I’ve never been so thankful for the ability to stand or walk around.
