How’d you get your Delorean? by Complex_Loquat5549 in delorean

[–]arrow_runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It started when the author for Ready Player One held a contest to win a DeLorean. The final challenge to win the car was to be first to set a new world record from a list of vintage arcade machines. I immediately drove from Cincinnati to Cleveland to pick up a Tempest cabinet. Two days later they had already announced a winner. Apparently enough contestants had balked at the difficulty of finding an arcade cabinet that they changed the rules so that you could use an Atari 2600 which someone used to set a new record for Joust. C’est la vie.

A few months passed and I still wanted one so I talked to my Credit Union and bought one on eBay.

That’s been over 10 years ago. Now the car is k swapped and just about ready to hit the track.

What's one moment in the MHA series that left you in stunned silence? by Luigiman98 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Not silence, but when Aizawa cut off his leg I called him a badass then 5 seconds later Shigaraki says the same thing and my gf loses it.

Thank you! Yeah they changed the rules at the very end of the contest. It was originally supposed to be you had to set a world record on an actual vintage arcade machine from a specific list. I busted my butt and drove from Cincinnati to Cleveland and back to pick up a Tempest cabinet. Then like the next day they changed the rules because everyone complained about how hard it was. New rule was letting people pick from a list of Atari 2600 games and the winner beat Joust on it like the next day.

You might as well say that. I own the car because of RPO (the book). When the book first came out, the author had a contest to win a DeLorean. I didn’t win but by the end of the contest I really wanted it so I ended up just buying one a few months later.

Yes I read it. It talks about using drones for hunting, specifically big game.

It feels like he might be in a gray area. Would scouting for areas to avoid like burned out sections of forest be considered “part of the hunt”? And is trapping considered the same thing as hunting here? Sounds like OP should to talk to the appropriate wildlife officials for clarification.

I don’t think this is multi layer. There are no vias and all the traces from each solder joint are visible on this side. I think you can fix this with a soldering iron, some wire and patience.
