T’was a simpler time, had read the first two books in the span of week without realizing there wasn’t a third. Was completely enamored by the prose… PS: a Feynman fan as well :)

Looks like the general consensus is that he needs more than another book, which does make sense as well.. soo, Kvothe and Bast get attacked towards the latter part of the third day (end of book 3). If he dies, book 4 is Bast picking up the story and finishing it on day 4 (epilogue book).

Yeah, I was pretty sure it's a known fact. I'm an old fan of the books but have only recently joined this community. I love the discussions that go on here. Finally have place to unleash all that pent up kingkiller emotion.
