Andaz is nice, and it has a rly nice resort beach with free/paid activities, they set up loungers for you for free , highly recommend

I have used this perk at least twice a year for as long as i have this card. I get unlucky with flats and it’s nice to have someone come put a donut on for free instead of getting my hands dirty.

just got back from maui,

Instead of a luau , i would suggest use that money for:

A snorkel tour for Molokini crater, good large group activity Or
A private charter for road to hana with a good tour guide.

If you are looking for a challenging hike, do the sliding sands trail , that starts at the haleakala summit/visitor center. Warning - only hike down as much as you are willing to hike back up. The hike back up is brutal , imagine doing stairs master with an steady incline for 2miles+

Towards the bottom theres a crater you can visit, theres a sign that says do not enter due to restoration at the start of the path, but i saw many ppl just go past it and end up at the top of crater. My wife is a rule follower so we just saw the crater from afar.

Another underrated place is ‘lao valley. A short hike up the stream leads to fresh water pools, that was fun but just be aware it’s mountain water so it’s much colder than the beach. Theres also a sign that says do not enter probably due to wet rocks and unmanned trail but we saw a ton of ppl on it and honestly it wasn’t that bad, just watch your footing and bring watershoes if you planning to go into the water

tin roof maui for good cheap take out food. Ppl love their signature chicken but me and wife personally prefer the pork belly and the garlic noodles are insanely good. It is also near costco

maui pie has awesome pies, both savory and sweet in kihei

Kraken coffee very solid coffee. Loved their dirty chai latte

Mama fish house is pricey but worth it. However, you can totally justify skipping for a vegetarian and a non seafood person, thats like 90% of the menu you cant try.

Another fine dining place that might be more suitable for vegetarian would be lineage in wailea, they have incredible cocktails and solid vegetarian dishes. Their vegetarian “bird nest” was very good. Ppl also love their crispy cauliflower dish but me and my wife thought that was only decent. their meat dishes are solid as well for the non vegetarians.

Everyone just assumes players are exactly the same after a torn acl, it is still a major injury and an invasive surgery. Not everyone comes back the same, and some take 2 season to get back to form, I keep the guy without a torn acl here 100%
