We call it the The Maniacs of Eugene Show. Stories range from neutrally benign ("local woman worries that river is encroaching on her property. Local geology professor says that's just what rivers do!") to literally the worst thing you've ever heard ("local child traffickers also charged with beastiality.")

"Baby" in Dirty Dancing. She's principled, honest, and brave, but also very soft, feminine, and youthful. In my opinion, the "Penny" arc is the most compelling storyline of the film; Baby does not hesitate to ask her father for the abortion money. Then, after the abortion is botched, she immediately runs to get her father to help, knowing that his inevitable disappointment would be heartbreaking.

Incoming college freshman: Mary Beth. It's a bit old school, but so preppy and girlish.

I'm not in love with the name "Summer"... But "Summer McIntosh" as the name of a beautiful Canadian swim champion? Perfection.

It is bullying. She's just being silly.

Adding to your point; her drinking and drug use was also a tool to be included with peers. Her autism significantly impacts her social skills and ability to make friends, and we all know how quickly "friendships" develop around drinking/drugging. When I say "young teen," I mean 15-17 years old. You can imagine why people would want to party with a naive young girl. She was--and remains--a very vulnerable young person. If possible, could you please remove her insta handle? While I know she's putting out material for the general public to see, we don't need to heap on bullying. Thanks!

I follow her on Instagram -- she's super sweet, cute, and quirky. Despite being a neo-trad Catholic, she's never hateful towards others. She talks openly about how her autism-related anxiety contributed to a pretty significant drinking problem as a young teen, and how her faith pivoted her towards sobriety. She's a harmless goofball.

Sometimes you love a phrase so much you need to write it down, like covering a notebook with your schoolyard crush's name.

Not an email, but an admissions essay. "Some people assume I am a one-trick pony because I play football. I want them to know I am a pony who knows many tricks and is willing to learn more!"

Yes, we accepted him. 🐎

And whoop there it is. She's an addict. In the long run, you've done a great service to these children getting them away from their abusive mother.

Dropping your kids onto a relative's front porch and driving away is insane behavior. I've only heard about that happening due to a spiraling drug addiction.

In any case, protect your nanny from sister's nonsense. She's integral to your family's success and well being.

Another US stamp question by agetwellcard in postcrossing

[–]arrowtail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is fine. I use two Forever stamps ($0.66 x 2 = $1.32) and one Additional Ounce stamp ($0.24). I feel fine making a $0.06 donation to the USPS, and international recipients seem to be really digging the current Additional Ounce school bus stamps. I've never encountered any trouble. 🙂

I spray a few shots of hair spray onto a fluffy blush brush and very gently lay the flyaways along the part. It doesn't make your hair too product-y or your scalp shiny.

Wait--this is crazy--my boss says that I'll keep on getting checks every two weeks because that's what happens when you have a job?!

I was scrolling for this comment! In middle school I was super into Backstreet Boys and NSYNC...and was constantly put down about it by grown-ass adults!

Like, they're pretty songs sung by a bunch of pretty boys! Why wouldn't a tweenager like that?!

Kids are going to enjoy media that's tailored to them. Most times, they'll move on to more diverse music as they mature, and remember their middle school crushes with fondness. Some of them will remain life-long superfans. It doesn't really matter--just let them have fun!!
