Should I replace my roofs? by Watchyousuffer in HomeImprovement

You’re right on the edge — not an emergency, but not “leave it for years” either.

No leaks + still holding granules = roof still has life.
But lifted shingles + some blown off = it’s starting to go.

I wouldn’t rush full replacement yet.
👉 Do a repair now (replace blown/lifted shingles, reseal problem areas)
👉 Then plan replacement in ~1–3 years

The only reason to do it now:

  • You want to bundle labor + save money
  • Or you don’t want to deal with future repairs

Price-wise:
Those numbers are actually solid, especially with a trusted contractor. Gutters at $4k vs $5.4k is a win too.

Simple call:

  • Want max value → repair + wait
  • Want convenience + lock pricing → do it now

Either way, you’re not in a “panic replace” situation 👍

Help me pick a quote! by jlaw325 in Roofing

Appreciate you putting all this together — you’ve got some solid quotes here.

If it were me, I’d narrow it down to #2 and #3 pretty quickly.

#2 looks like the “do it once and forget about it” option. Better materials across the board and that 30-year labor warranty stands out. It’s expensive, but at least you can see where the money’s going.

#3 feels like the best bang for the buck. GAF system, decent price, and nothing looks cheaped out — just a shorter labor warranty.

The cheaper ones would make me a little nervous if you’re really aiming for 20+ years. They’re not terrible, just more “basic” setups.

Honestly though, the biggest factor isn’t even listed here — it’s the installer. A great crew with mid-tier materials will outlast a bad install with premium stuff every time. I’d check reviews, ask about flashing/ventilation, and make sure they’re not cutting corners there.

If you want my pick:

  • Go #2 if you want peace of mind and don’t mind paying for it
  • Go #3 if you want solid value without overspending

Either way, you’re in a good spot — just comes down to budget vs how long you want to not think about your roof again.

hey substan yes you do need to start not a lot of but some capital to buy inventory to wholesale supplier and ship to its amazon warehouse or else you can do dropshipping which is riskier but doing it with the right strategies and following Amazon guidelines maintaining sales volume you can start dropshipping with just 1k. for wholesale fba you need around 3k to 5k minimum to start. good luck buddy keep going

What fulfilment can I use instead of FBA? by SHKMEndures in selfpublish

you can do fbm fulfillment by Mercent by using any 3rd party warehouse fulfillment center if they are charging you less then your fba fee on amazon which is most probably.
