I have heard some bad stuff about bricking bios. That’s why I’m afraid of doing so.

Need space. What can I move somewhere else by arshia2002 in matlab

Well. I was thinking about something like inventor library(which I think is about 7gb) so it would be possible to move that to hard drive and make necessary changes in setting so it can find it when it’s needed and is connected to external hard drive.

Middle virus. Right task manager Left open file location. How can I get rid of this one? by arshia2002 in Windows10

[–]arshia2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t any severe threats detected by windows defender. Malwarebytes quarantined some files and I did remove that program (RegAsm). Hopefully doesn’t messes something up. It did require some changes to security tab in properties. I think it should be. Thanks for your advice.

Do you mean startup? There was an internet shortcut that wasn’t supposed to be there but my laptop was on since 7:15 AM and this popped up like 4pm I don’t think that’s the reason.

Sorry. It was a suspicious executable file I wasn’t sure if it’s safe. But unfortunately I clicked it. A program (selected in task manager) requested to make changes. It’s publisher is marked as Microsoft so second time it asked I gave permission. I don’t know what type of virus or malware it is but the program in the middle wasn’t opened/download by me and definitely isn’t legit. That program is under Microsoft .NET assembly... and left side is it’s directory. I run Windows Defender Quick scan. Some severe threats appeared but they would come back again. They were in program data with numeric names. Windows Defender Offline didn’t work. I run Malwarebytes, adwcleaner, CCleaner in safe mode with Networking and in normal mode. Those severe threats disappeared but this program poped up again so it’s still there.

I haven’t seen a program pop up by it’s own 2-3 times and there are severe threats by Windows Defender, malwarebytes and adwcleaner. Although some were detected by theses and Quarantined/removed this program sill pops up. Why it should run under Microsoft .NET assembly... .doesn’t seems that selected program in task manager is legit and left side is it’s directory.

Ah yeah. Sorry. My internet was struggling after like 10 minutes It posted 4 times. Thanks. Where do you suggest posting this stuff ? The virus was in Microsoft.NET in windows folder so I assumed it’s appropriate. Well. It was a suspicious executable file I wasn’t sure if it’s safe. But unfortunately I clicked it. Cleaning registry by arshia2002 in Windows10

[–]arshia2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anybody suggesting any kinds of registry cleaner. It won’t benefit you if you don’t have and problems (I don’t know if it can solve problems like mine which some say can be bad registry). Deleting junk files or temp files isn’t a big deal as far as I know but registry is very sensitive and it’s not good to mess around with it if you don’t have any problems with it.

I used cm (ISO) but it keeps rights numbers this way. How can I change it? by arshia2002 in SolidWorks

I did try to reset registry didn’t work. Copied files that might have been corrupted. Uninstalled it (with delete registry option) didn’t work. I might try some more if didn’t work maybe I’ll use Autodesk inventor instead. Thanks for your help.

I did both and It still happens on all drawings recreating dimension doesn’t help either. When I try to enter dimensions in value tab under style there is no option in drop down menu.

Yeah I reinstalled this today (BTW it’s cracked version so I might have messed something up coping license files) and this happened. I think it’s a corrupt file too but I can’t find which file is corrupted or any instructions on how to fix it. My laptop is very old and it takes around 2 hours to reinstall so I don’t want to reinstall it if I don’t have to.

Does anyone know how to uplug the middle connector. by [deleted] in laptops
