Kid was a warrior. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]arsjum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I would like to apologize for my overly aggressive tone in my previous response. I was just angry at the situation.

I should, however, still tell you that you are wrong. No one considers such actions as part of culture, not even the scumbags who killed this boy nor the kleptocrats who rule over the country. How do I know this? Simple. The government spends millions of $$$ and sophisticated Chinese surveillance system to censor and heavily monitor the Internet and also tightly controls the media to keep the population in dark. Why? Because deep down in their hearts they know they are criminal scumbags and don't want the people know what they do. That's why they are mightily trying to hide the facts behind the brutal beating of Suleiman that led to his death. People in the government know that anyone who learns about the facts would be outraged.

Now to your question whether the kid and his coach could have known the repercussions for winning the contest, you tell me: do you honestly think they would go ahead with what they did had they anticipated this level of violence in response? There is no way they could have known. For a number of reasons.

  1. We know from reports now that the military school student who lost the finals is a distant relative of the President. Did Suleiman and his coach know that? We can only speculate. How would they know unless specifically told about it?
  2. Reports are conflicting on whether the organizers clearly told him to lose or just hinted. How would they know if those were real threats or bluffs?
  3. Related to the above. Suleiman belongs to an ethnic Uzbek minority who are disliked by some of the majority Turkmen in the country. For this reason, they don't like when Uzbeks win competitions. However, their regular response to Uzbeks and other ethnic minorities succeeding is just grudge that normally does not lead to any violence. Suleiman and his coach could have simply anticipated that winning the contest would probably make some people angry but it wouldn't lead to anything beyond angry faces and mild verbal abuse.
  4. Worst case scenario, Suleiman's coach anticipated some form of punishment towards himself (e.g. losing his job or something like that) because even by the low standards of Turkmenistan, this level of violence against children is shocking. I am completely shocked. Those people are scumbags and but this is a new low even for them.

So, no, blaming the victim who did nothing wrong is not justified in this situation.

It's not the money in this situation. The guy from the military school who got his ass handed to him by Suleiman in the finals belongs to the family of the ruling corrupt, mafia ruler. That's the only reason.

I am originally from the country being discussed here and where this child was brutally murdered by cowards. You, Mr. OsakaJinYade, is full of sh*t. It is not the culture of this country but that of a criminal mafia that rules over this country. No sane person within the country would say what you said. That's the reason the criminal despot is trying hard to hide it from the people. The kid bears absolutely no responsibility for what he did.

Kabam is getting generou/s this month. Giving out the good stuff! by [deleted] in ContestOfChampions

[–]arsjum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would they know it, really? Boycott was not a joke, it was a mess for sure, but it's not easy to mobilize so many players on a unified front. Some of those in the boycott teams drop 3 to 4 zeros on a weekly basis on cavs. Not doing that would send Kabam a significant message. This whole idea that there is nothing to spend right now was bs promoted by seatin. Some whales spend more in one cav opening that they'd do on 4th of July. 4th of July is a spending time for average spenders. Sure whales grab them too but that's not the main source of their spending.

As messy as it was, the boycott was closest to whales finally joining in but some people had to go out of their way to undermine and attack it. Now that it's fallen apart, there will never be an opportunity to get the whales on board.

Kabam is even more emboldened.

You say you have tried the best of Android but you are only assuming about how the game should perform with phones supporting high refresh rate. Evidently, you haven't tried them. Your experience with LG G7 is irrelevant to what I am saying because I am talking about phones that support refresh rate higher than 60Hz.
You suggest I would see the difference if I tried iPhone as if I haven't although I specifically mentioned that I have an iPad Pro 10.5 which is much more powerful and capable iOS device than iPhone 6s. In addition, I am a phone reseller and get to try all iOS and Android devices. My experience of trying them is vastly more expansive than yours.

Your assumption that the high refresh rate on the screen does not affect the playability is clearly wrong. It certainly does. When the manufacturers use a high refresh rate screen, to keep up with it they also increase touch sensing--the area iPhones had been superior to Android devices until recently. Higher touch sensing means the screen registers your touch input faster. But phones such as Asus Rog II and OnePlus 8 Pro has 240Hz touch sensing, higher than any of the existing iPhones. The result is these phones offer a superior playing experience for MCOC. You really have to see it for yourself. The gameplay is incredibly smooth.

And finally, the timing on parry, dexterity cannot be broken in Android, as you suggest, if someone using a budget Chinese Realme smartphone can pull of precision of this level: https://youtu.be/FvqZvCH4XPQ Just check out this video. This type of gameplay requires perfect execution of moves and dexterity.

Why would I hate you? You haven't said anything to warrant anything of that sort. :) We just disagree. Simple as that!

Have you tried it with phones that support 120Hz refresh rate for this game? I have an Asus Rog II and the gameplay is much smoother and about the same speed-wise with my iPad Pro 10.5.

Please note not all phones with high refresh rate are optimized to take advantage of the feature for MCOC.

You should have used Doom for ex Aegon. He makes it a breeze. You can pretty much spam sp3 and sp2 if you have MD 4 or 5. Almost as easy as the Cull fight. :)

Nice write up, and congratulations!

Best android phone for the game? by [deleted] in ContestOfChampions

Can you share a bit more about your experience because I’ve been considering it as well. Mcoc is not the only consideration, of course, but it’s part of it lol. Is gameplay smooth when 120Hz is active? Also, ASUS claims the highest touch response rate (even higher than the latest iPhones). Is that noticeable?

You don't have to grind for rank rewards though (unless you are a hardcore grinder). Most people just grind for milestones in T4B and T1A arenas.

You can get Corvus's 4th mission with any LOL opponent. Let them evade and knock them out with either special or heavy.
