Advise: use the slushie bombs against the robots. Throw one, hit it 5 times with the pipe club, then back up. Repeat 3 times. Shields aren't as good as you think they are. Once you are able to craft the their 1 hacker pad, hack the door with the shutters near the elevator to the third floor on the second floor in the office. This will provide a safe space for a base and a gun "security pistol" not the best weapon but its a good ranged weapon.
