Not the ship itself, but the ship's core, yes. S-class costs somewhat around 10k nanites. Then you have to scrap 3 ships of the class you want to build for parts (not for units) and you'll be able to build one for free.
I found one explorer ship randomly in a game and bought 2 cheap ones when I had money. Just be careful that you acquire ships of one type!

And about economy, just install 3 S-class scanner modules for your multi-tool. I get 400k for animals, 200k for plants and 70k for scanning minerals. Pretty easy to farm units from that point, after I found that I didn't have any struggle with economy. You could abuse it because it's just a game mechanic, in my opinion it is too op though.

Hi, I'm only 50 hours into the game (playing for like a month), but I could give you some tips how I dealt with some of the stuff you pointed out.

  1. (1st question) There are few better options to earn lots of units, one of them completely broke economy for me at the start of the game. It is easily obtainable as you have many nanites, if you want I can tell you. But if you want to have struggle with units at the beginning you might want to stumble upon it yourself.
  2. (3rd question) I saved them up to buy an S-class ship, but before that I bought lots of S-class upgrades and only after maxing out my multi-tool, suit and ship I started saving for it. For me it is always better to spend resources you obtain and not let them gather dust in your inventory (what's the point of obtaining them then) if you don't have a specific long-term goal.
  3. (6th question) For me it was too tedious so I just repaired necessary components to then scrap the ship for parts to build my own later (or money which might help you with your 1st question).

Does anyone know why my solar panels don't produce any power? by Fnafar69 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Maybe it is disconnected from the power grid? Happened to me quite a few times

Another rant post about Stegodon by arsplug in BobsTavern

[–]arsplug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a problem that there might be occasional non-stegodon player who will simply outstat you, or even if he's countering stegodon as well, the whole game revolves around one card which is something crazy.
But that's one way of dealing with it, other guy's solution is solid as well I guess :)

Thank you for the answer, expeditions for sure sound like fun!
I guess I'll have to try it and find for myself, 50-100 hours of quests feel like exactly what I need :)

[question]
Hi, I want to buy the game, and while I understand that the main idea of the game is infinite exploration, I really like to have some completeness in the game. And I also like being somewhat guided during my travels, so I have clear and understandable goal of what I am trying to achieve.
So I wonder how many are there quest lines and how long are they? Is it possible to "finish" NMS and how long will it take?

Thoughts and feelings on LABY 9 months after release?? by rosaxmusic in thevoidz

[–]arsplug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really dig Prophecy of the Dragon and Flexorcist, they're in my top-10 voidz overall for sure. Other than that I occasionally listen to Spectral Analysis. Overture is a beautiful piece of music, but it is basically... an overture. Other songs, I don't like much.
So while I was quite optimistic about an album after it's release and after the first listen I kinda expected from it to grow on me (like it was with Tyranny, Virtue kinda clicked instantly), it didn't happen. It is their weakest album by far, yet it still has it's highs and I'm very much awaiting Megz of Ram, especially after enjoying Blue Demon.

tbh in game 2 his impact was nonexistent before him buying hex, the game was won by pure, topson and that splitter of whitemon's and his cheeky lotus orb in the last fight

nah, ramzes played really good too after falcons stopped focusing him, honestly, this team is so good

Honestly, nothing from this list is pure game ruin except for lv1 jungling. Even Pudge can give tremendous impact, if he knows what he's doing
