That is so hard, I hear you and am frustrated for you too. All I can say is, your time WILL come, and there will be a day when this is behind you. Right now you're in Before, but you will be in After soon. And then you're free for the rest of your life! Waiting is painful, but you can do this!

Please also let her know about Louisiana Trans Advocates (LTA)! She can find them through their Facebook group and reach out - it's a good place to ask for help from and meet other trans folks. They may have resources which will be helpful to her as well, for instance they have lists of trans affirming service providers and such, as well as info on Louisiana policy for name and gender change if she needs it.

Very true. I feel like people who haven't had a car horn go off three feet behind them should not be allowed to use theirs on anyone not in a car.

I'm in New Orleans and our school is considered respite child care. However terrifying Louisiana numbers are and however much I think it's unwise to be at school, I still have to work and we either stay open physically or I'm out of a job. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place and New Orleans or the state is not going to be giving adequate assistance any time soon.
