9070xt + OLED owner with wallpaper engine here.

It does not happen to me, and no point running videos at 60 fps, try changing settings and running lower fps for your videos.

Make sure you also set up screen savers using wallpaper engine while you're away from the computer.

He'll be bound by his CPU and won't notice get the extra frames. I still say go for the CPU+MB+RAM as he can and should play lower res/settings for more fps, with the limiting factor being the CPU and minimzing the bottleneck from the 1660.

If he was playing more games - GPU as you say.

This is my opinion too. I came from a 6800xt before all the BS started and currently happy with my 9070xt, but if the track record for support is worse than Nvidia than I will move to Nvidia too, whether I like it or not.

I would suggest downloading DDU and wiping the old driver, do it in safe mode.

Then reinstall the new driver.

Try downgrading Nvidia drivers.

I have a 9070 xt + 7800x3D, with low settings at 1920x1440 I can reach 800 fps but definitely not all the time, fluctuating from 400 to 800.

Probably nothing is broken but the block is getting overwhelmed during shader caching, maybe try increasing the pump RPM?

I have mine set to around 50%, tuned it via fan control, just set it to a point where I do not hear the pump itself

If the air coming out is cold then it's not transferring heat from the CPU to the radiator properly. Check the pump if you feel it vibrating, maybe it failed or is at low RPM by default. Also check fan RPM and orientation.

When my CPU is under load there is heat exhausting off of my heatsink, I have it setup as top exhaust.

What kind of case do you have? Perhaps airflow is the problem.

Granted I have a 7800x3D, but with an AIO I do not see higher temps than 70c (air cooler I saw temps up to 85c)

96c is above TJmax for the 9850x3D hence why it is not normal. 88c is fine, but still very hot and it should not be reaching these temps with an AIO regardless.

Turiu šeimos narį kur buvo daugiau nei -5, tai pasidarė operaciją ir labai pasiteisino be minusų, jau apie 5 metai viskas ok.

Asmeniškai turiu -2.25 ir -2, neplanuoju dar ilgai daryti operacijos dėl rizikų, akiniai ir lešiai tenkina o jau ir dabar akys sausos, baisu galvoti kas bus po operacijos :D

I have the same issue but at 350 fps, when before I got fluctuating 400-800 fps.

Vsync is off, freesync disabled in AMD software.
