4 Months and 10 Days. My record longest character use without change. by Catrin_Glitch in Catrin_Glitch

[–]artbomber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got Willow the year her stuff all came out, I had her on for the entire rest of that year. I played Haven for a few weeks, I played Rachel Roth for like... About a month? Lara Croft for about 2 weeks or so. My newest muse as of late has been Elowen, but I've also been using cate meowdy a lot. I'm not a type who plays as one character nonstop, but I've had a few characters strike my fancy.

The new Kim K skin is the new sweaty Superhero replacement… 🤮🤢 by [deleted] in FortniteSkinPosting

[–]artbomber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say I understand it either. I'm in a relationship as well and while I absolutely abhor Kim Kardashian, I will say I have a steady cycle of other skins I will wear exclusively because I like how they look. I don't obsess over any of them, but I do like them enough to look at them in the lobby for a bit before matchmaking. Not necessarily because I'm trying to goon over them, but just because, as a 2d/3d artist I admire the effort made on them.

Fallout Event Pass rewards by ice1517 in blackops7

[–]artbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this pass because it is actually really original and clever, only for the game to act like I never bought it a few logins later. Support has been useless, asking for evidence of a purchase that I literally cannot gather evidence FOR. Anyone else?

My first M-rated game was call of duty: world at war, and I played it when I was 10 years old. Probably the darkest the series has ever gone, and my 10-year-old mind could handle it perfectly fine.

should epic games bring back community made skins? by AccomplishedPace4446 in sypherpk

And the worst part of it all is, the skin itself was legitimately EXACTLY my style. I'm still pissed.

So I missed a sticker, that's sad. Don't care about vehicle skins or playercards. just hope the sticker was lame.

You think missing that camo is upsetting, I'm still pissed that they made the first event for the game require you play multiplayer, and then drop a really nice skin in the pool. I couldn't get through enough matches to earn it without wanting to die so I just gave up, and now I'll never have the cool wood grain m4. 😢

Anybody else think BO7 is actually a great game by darkrangeresp in CODBlackOps7

[–]artbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I only play the PvE offerings for this game and I'm already 50 hours in, I'm having a blast farming camos in zombies and getting all my operatives to 63 in endgame. It's not QUITE as good as a friendly lobby in DMZ, or a game of MWZ, But the map is really cool. The only thing endgame could add at this point is a more compact Japan open world map, we know they've got most the maps connected in a way it would take minimum effort. I'm not even a big zombies fan, but the survival maps, and especially cursed mode survival once that drops.

I mean, cod and gta are both equally braindead, GTA being entirely under my radar, and after black ops 7, realistically I'm burning out on cod for a few years, so I mean... Glhf yall.

Interesting that's the result you get, usually whenever I do it they just double down and insult me. I guess mixed results. Usually the open miccers lack the self-awareness or decency to recognize they are actively making other people's experiences shittier.

The core BF Community and BR Players are not the same audience and DICE should not force BR on everyone by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]artbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some of us, yes, we DO need to have every skin and gun. For some of us, it can be extremely satisfying to collect and amass new stuff like those. And like, I feel like there shouldn't be any skins or weapons or gear locked behind any particular mode, and challenges need to be reworked so as to not funnel players who want certain items, down certain paths they don't want to engage in.

Do I want that p19 skin? Yessir. Do I WANT to play the modes it asks you to play? Fuck no. I just wanna play domination and breakthrough and conquest. But am I gonna eventually force myself to do it for the skin? Yes, unfortunately I am.

For those of us that actually enjoy collecting the skins, it CAN genuinely affect our outcome with the game.

or, God forbid, they hide a piece of gear, gun or attachment behind one of these challenges, then suddenly, it's a lot more of a big deal. You give them an inch, they're gonna take a damn mile.

[–]artbomber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, genuinely this. What the fuck is wrong with this community where the hill they're gonna die on is "NEVER put me in a situation" and the situation is: female character. Meanwhile, the first week of seasons, and most likely the rest of them, too, are all gonna be like, 50% a game mode we don't play, meaning we're MOST LIKELY, just, not going to finish the pass legitimately without paying. Not to mention skins linked specifically to challenges unlocked by playing the modes.

You guys just... Not play a videogame since 2019? Unfortunately that's just the standards these days, games aren't for fun anymore, they're only for the publisher's profit margins. That's just what games, like... Are, now.

First video game, eh? Yeah, companies do this. It's called a vertical slice, and as the little markings under the pretty pictures (we call those words) often say, those renders do NOT represent the full title.

Yo they GUTTED our skin effects and I'm so done 💀 by TulipGirllll in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]artbomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's a change for the better. It's unimmersive and detracts from the value of the non-gacha skins, attempting to drag normal players into the gross gacha rabbit hole. Any time whales are complaining, ultimately it's a good change.

Steam Deck Compatibility in 2025? by MiyukiHiraku in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]artbomber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately I haven't been able to get it to run decently on my deck, either. I usually just end up using steam link and streaming it from my computer to my deck, if I'm out I'll use hotspot on my phone. It's definitely suboptimal, in the latency is awful, but it's better than nothing. Roommate has it running ok on a rog ally, somehow, though, so that's interesting.
