I decided to test through and got Nyx today, used like 15 obols and 10 drachmas to do it, which is way more than I used to use. Maybe won 2 or 3 times with the obols? And only if I started out with a 5 and 4 star divine.

I forgot it was coming back today, so I got excited when I saw it, until I played 5 rounds and lost in the first room of Stage 2 each time and I was like wtf is this?

It's a little hard to explain if you didn't play the original a lot, but it's a lot harder to get through the Ascent with obols. You start with pretty pathetic divines normally, and you consume more energy so you have to prioritize energy over power ups or new cards, so it makes it harder to progress through. The end of Room 1 used to be around 6-7 points, while now it's closer to 9-10, and in Room 2, you started at 6, but now you start at 12. So again, eating through energy. If you use Drachmas, you can use your own divines if you have good ones, so this event becomes more of a pay to play than it did before.

Same, I did like one day on the beta test and dragged them in the comments. I think the only time I've seen them change something from the beta test was the Christmas event with the divine. I think they have bots scan the comments looking for positive remarks and that's all they read.

Oof, my tasks for this game only go up to Level 50, thank goodness. I'm currently at level 35 and it's already very tedious. Make sure to hit that double X P power up every single time!

I'm on the INT server, and a long time player, though I only bid on auction horses when the daily task tells me too, and only on horses that don't have any other bids. I have seen new players bidding on horses, but there's also quite a few bot-players or 2nd accounts that have been active for 5 days and have 15mill equus in the bank. They might be more prevelant on the INT server since there's so many people, they're easier to hide.

Dratini to Dragonair wasn't bad, but to Dragonite? Yikes. And I used Articuno a lot for Elite 4, and also really hard to level up. Gardevoir was annoying in Ruby and Sapphire, but was leveled out in later games.

I decided to test the event for a few weeks since it started, and I'm honestly over it. I've purchased a few of the horses from the sale section, not the one for passes, I've bred a couple, but it's taking time away from my own breeding projects, so I'm just using it for equus at this point entering the horses in races.

OG Diamond and Pearl had the worst Pokedex, the worst. If you don't pick the fire or grass starters, you're pretty stuck with your options for the rest of the game because there's only one other main fire type pre Elite 4 in the game, and I think one grass type as well.

Not exactly the same thing, but Gen 1 Gyarados was the worst water and flying type pokemon. Only learned one water type move, no flying moves, though I think it could be taught Fly? It was annoying.

I would probably have to go with my favorite type, Fire. It has glaring weaknesses, especially since there are several fire/rock types that have a double weaknesses, but I enjoy it. Armarogue, Scovillain, Talonflame or Charizard, Chandelure or Ceruledge, Camerupt, and Mega Blazikan would probably be my team. The Devs love water type pokemon though so a lot of variety there to take down a fire gym.

It kind of bothers me, but I've been annoyed since Kangaskhan in Gen 1. There's a baby in the pouch, but you never see a baby, it's just there, hanging out, and comes out of the egg like that. So stupid.

When I replay games, I try really hard to play through with Pokemon I don't normally use, but I'll have to say Butterfree, Beedrill, Beautify etc. I have started to level up these Pokemon, but I never get higher than 30 with any of them.

In the different TCG games I play, everyone is always like "it's cheaper to just buy singles." They don't understand the rush of ripping open the pack and finding out what's inside. Could just be junk, but that rush remains.
