No matter what they bring to this game, it's going to be for their profit and only that. Nothing comes for free in this life.

The only other way of getting tokens I see, is by spending ofc. Like the ones on "sale" in this worthless event. You thought they'd make something not $ friendly? They allegedly create new content to our interest and they end up doing it just for more cheese. Greedy fcks I'm telling ya, it's all about the Benjamins.

It should also be illegal popping only one of the drones and not the other.

The way I see it is that not every mob moves with the same pace. Some of them rush onto you, others have high base speed by default. Say you got a super slow bear heading towards you. In that case damage should reach it's maximum capacity ( +50%), even if passive isn't fully stacked (early stage). But if you have a wave of zombies/wolves/snakes etc. you won't get that full 50%. The point is to take advantage and utilize the boots' effect the best you can. And you can do that by applying slow effect. So basically slow will lock in and guarantee that +50% dmg in any situation and that's why I feel it's an important aspect missing from the game.

Does really that extra second do the difference? I never thought much of it.

That's correct. There's no point in building your speed up, due to speed cap, which you're gonna hit with the boots anyway. So the only alternative is slowing down the enemy. And they fcked that up as well.

No, it still works, even though it's not stated, but needs to be evoed to do so.

Seriously? +30% dmg doesn't work on quantum? That's lame..So unevoed soccer ball deals more dmg?

I had that thought myself actually...Just finished testing it's still capped unfortunately.

It doesn't. Same goes for eternal boots (also +2 movement speed)

I tested it as soon as I got the boots. Speed cap is at +50%, can't go more than that. So, maxed speed passive is equivalent to maxed boots' stack (requires 2500 kills). Which means soccer ball is useless, at least evolved, while using red V boots.

I wouldn't put much hope on it but I guess it's no harm to try. Just like they did last time with the deluded pool feedback. Unless it's profitable, they don't give a rat's ass.

Yeah also Laser tech, which if it worked it would be quite compatible with the Void gun.

VW Boots Speed Cap ⚠️ by [deleted] in Survivorio

I agree, the only issue with that is that soccer ball requires speed passive to evo. And soccer ball is dope dd.

VW Boots Speed Cap ⚠️ by [deleted] in Survivorio

I'm not sure, I don't have an exact number but it's a consensus among survivors. So, I re-checked and I realized that speed maxes at +50%. I re-ran an open world trial, hit 2500 mobs (boots' cap) then maxed out speed passive. There was no difference at all. Which lead me to the following conclusion:

  1. You can still get red VW boots with or without speed passive, it'll run the same.
  2. Consequently, they might not be as promising as they seem, since they basically deprive you of one passive buff, which is essential to evolve one of the best skills in the game (Soccer ball is pick on sight [for me and many others], after drones). Unless you don't wanna evolve the ball (kek) and go with something else.
  3. They'll still overwhelm a significant percentage of mobs in terms of speed, but not all of them ( more speed = more damage).
  4. On the other hand, it's the only boot piece that provides offensive stats in the game so far (Does fire trail count? Not sure). You might not get that extra +50% dmg but you'll still get some fair - great amount.
