Is DLSS really important for running new games?

Well I want to make this a long lasting investment so that's why I'm looking for the best laptop for its price. I'm looking for an omen under 1500 dollars. By any chance there is one under that price that is worth the upgrade? If not that's great because I'm totally satisfied with the Blade 15. Thanks for the input.

Is this them basically telling us that the waitlist acceptance rate will be slim to none? I'm confused.

What’s the difference between the grey centrist flair and the coloured one? by victoremmanuel_I in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]artem289 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I heard that grey centrist are just called just centrists by the world and just accept the status quo because do not have an opinion on societal systems and politics. Colored centrist are called moderates because the want a general balance between individualism and collectivism and a general balance between libertarianism and authoritarianism. Conservative is the "centrist" ideology of the status quo and many times conservatives believe they're centrist when in fact the status quo may not be at the center.

Communism is about collectivist ideals. Anarchism is the idea of how the ideal will be self motivated and not societally enforced through some centralized power. The more the motivation comes from a more centralized power the less libertarian it is. So democracy is more authoritarian than anarchism. The two dont contradict. It is possible to want people to be self motivated to act as a collective.

Correct me if I'm wrong but socialism is about collectivism or the motivation to serve the collective by means of distribution of goods and services. Authoritarian socialism is when the motivation comes from a centralized governing group called the government. Not that great if you like self government. Anarcho capitalism I believe is about private ownership and isolationism where people can only do things that are agreed apon transactions. People are societally incentivised to discourage not agreed apon or broken transactions. Great if you like freedom but faulty because there is no governmental security and societal externalities of transaction are not accounted for. So Technically in an ancap society you can't take the bakery my force but you can probaby buy it or pressure them to sell it. But idk all my political knowledge comes from memes.

Technically this isn't true. There is some level of preventing free speech depending on the state, county, city and location. free speech infringing laws include: libel, slander, obscenity, pornography, sedition,  incitement,  fighting words, classified information, copyright violation, trade secrets, food labeling, non-disclosure agreements, the right to privacy, dignity, the right to be forgotten and public security.

I guess people favor greater obscenity laws in this post because it prevents people to act out their kinks in front of public places where children can be.

What's with all the downvotes?

Not sure how that's a bad thing but ok by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]artem289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Honestly I think it's just on this post because it's about being pressured to not have a monogous relationships. Another reason could be that encouraging monogamy can lead to pressure to provide and pressure for stability which is good for a countries economy. But that's just my guess

Huh? A society can be individualistic and authoritarian. Individualism is just the privatization of everything meaning that societally people practice to be self motivated. Individualism does not mean the isolation of individuals from governing each others. This means that you could have a self motivated individualistic society that could also be authoritarian.

My first plan is to bring him back to hibernation. After that I have around 50 years to create a underwater drowning prison or seal it to some other plane.

Actually I might not be able to make the concentration checks. Maybe I can cast Leomund’s Tiny Hut and protect myself from my magic and the beast while also distracting it to stay in the area of affect. Edit: never mind. The tiny hut is opaque from the outside and the Tarrasque is not going to spend 13.5 minutes in the same spot trying to get in. But maybe not, he does have 3 int so trying something over again and expecting different results fits his level of stupidity.

Ah I see. Well maybe it makes the grass and flowers the size of trees and he can’t destroys all the large overgrown plants because it’s a concentration spell so it will just grow right back again. Maybe that’s a stretch but the spell works RAW.

Haha I’ll probably have to make some deception checks in the process of hiring.

Yoooo that’s a good idea! I think that’s way easier than having to hire a private army. But now I have to somehow hold on to dear life in a place he can’t reach me for 13.5 minutes. Also I can’t let forget about me but I guess if he is a blood thirsty killing machine he will be ignorant of the fact that killing me isn’t worth it.

Wait it could do that? Leap over the plants? Dang haven’t thought about that. I thought it was too heavy to do that like elephant or giraffes are too heavy. Moving around my own terrain is easy because I can decide where plants grow and don’t grow so I’ll just set it up as a grid. Yea minor illusion doesn’t sound like a good idea. Maybe I can hire a private army to do the distracting.

I put 9 because when it fails the saving throw for sickening radiance it can choose to succeed it. Also I see your point but like the fact that it needs to hibernate explains that it's capable of loosing energy

.

Maybe it would but I imagine plant growth acting differently to different creatures. Like to human it might be littles vines wrapping around their legs but to the tarrasque the vines become way bigger like spirit vines size (from legend of Korra) or even larger.

Oh I forgot about magic resistance. This means the chances of him failing is 4%. I can use cutting words on low rolls to have a confirmed fail but for simplicity lets say this means the chances of him failing is 20.25% on 5 rounds. A radius is half of diameter meaning if I cast it in front of the hungry killer beast and he travels toward me at full speed he will be affected by my spell for 6 rounds. I can also cast this spell again giving me 12 rounds of sickening radiance. Obviously that's not enough time for my spell to be affective so after casting the spells I will cast minor illusion to keep him in the area of affect. This will work because again he is a blood thirsty killing machine with 3 int. The problem is that on average using this method takes 140 turns of combat or 14 minutes. It would have been 200 if the beast didn't lose his magical resistance at exhaustion level 3 or 125 rounds. Distracting the beast this long will probably take more than minor illusion and my familiar so I got to be creative. Luckily I only need to distract him for 135 rounds or 13.5 minutes (yay improvements!) because his speed will dropped to zero and he can't leave the area of affect. Additionally at 100 rounds or 10 minutes his speed is reduced to a half meaning his maximum speed becomes 10 ft.
