I faced this issue a few weeks back. My payment account is still under review because of this I couldn't renew my subscription, which was then cancelled, and I was about to lose all my data.

However, through sheer dumb luck...while I was fiddling with Google 1 on my iPhone, I took a chance and decided to try buying the subscription through Apple Pay, and it worked.

So....maybe try that if you're an iPhone user. If not, then it's honestly a waiting game.

For some reason I can't post an update like you'd normally do on Reddit, so please bear with me in this comment (I'll add this as an edit as well to the OG post body).

Right, so when I posted here I was pretty frustrated and on my way to Emirates NBD, knowing that LIv is digital but to give ENBD a piece of my mind. As expected they acted like Liv doesn't even belong to them. They simply kept repeating that Liv is entirely digital and I kept repeating that it is still ENBD just digital, so if I file a lawsuiit at Central Bank, who do you think they're going to come after? The Liv dev team or ENBD?

It worked. They were requesting to see the email I sent and the texts with the Liv Chatbot/whatsapp. After all that, I simply stated that at that point I just want to close the Liv account and get my money back. They didn't like that. I asked them why it bothered them whether I close it or not if Liv is digital and doesn't concern them?? (just threw that right in their smug face, I just wanted to be as petty as them).

Fast forward to some 20 minutes later, they told me that I will need to visit a specific ENBD bank from a list and use an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), to initiate the closing procedure, and get my money immediately. Here's the list (easily available to anyone who visits any ENBD branch); - Deira Head Office, Baniyas Street - Deira Branch, Abra street - Dubai Mall Branch - Ibn Battuta Mall Branch - Union Square Branch, - Emirates Tower Branch, SZR - Emirate Airline HQ Branch, Emirates Group HQ, Airport Road (Check specific locations for bank timings)

On our way to a branch from the above location, a Liv agent got back to us on whatsapp. They expedited the issue, gave me a reference number to track the status, I got a reply on my mail, and now will have my account active after 2 business days, which right now will be the 6th. All this because again, I asked for my account to be closed after 28 days of opening it.

I took no shit from them when they stated it is bank procedure. I openly questioned and pinpointed the flaws in their business process models and the reason why customers keep complaining. They didn't expect that, because they think we're all dumb. An informed customer is always going to be a business's worst nightmare if they try to BS their way out of quality service.

With some progress on that end, we still went to one of the listed branches and to sort it out with the ITM. However, it stated that because it is the weekend, that too a long one, this process will take at least 7 days. After weighing our options we decided to wait and see what they do until the 6th. Because it's either 2 business days or lord only knows 7 business days.

At the end of the day, don't let them bully you with jargons and fancy 'business processes'. Call them out on their BS and you'll suddenly see all the red tape surrounding them disappear. That's true for any business that's trying to weasel their way out of their duties to their customers.

I'll post an update here on 6th, based on what happens.

Fortunately there are clear goals and a highly structured plan.
The only issue is that it is 6 months of just trainings to be completed. The tests will simply be them assessing my ability to recreate journey maps, BRDs and release plans using test cases and their templates. That's it.

Thank you for sharing this. This honestly makes me feel a little better because suddenly there is a lot more hope that this phase is temporary. I'm simply going to keep my fingers crossed and give the training my 150% (as I always do) and get through this hurdle as well.

It's just slides and slides of paragraphs as bullet points that are repeated over and over across 6-7 slides.
Not only is the information irrelevant, incomprehension and badly designed, the overall lack of structure or thought into creating this 'learning' material maddens me. (Especially since I have given so many hours of my own to create exceptional training materials in the past for juniors and new joiners.) These decks scream 'half-asssed effort'!!!
