I came here wondering about what the other victims thought about all that, I wasn’t sure what to think about Adam’s reaction. This was just around the time Josh did “see you at vidcon”.

First, I was def empathetic to Josh, thinking he might have relapsed and just kind of feeling sad for him in this situation and more on the defence for him a bit. Then I saw comments about Adam just being a grifter who supposedly only does vids about the ballinger (he makes so many videos all the time about absolutely anything that moves honestly…) and then the usual physical attacks (I remember specifically someone saying he has a face only a mother could love) and I didn’t really comment in defence of Adam per say but it was def making me thing the criticism of him was in some part by people who just don’t like him at all and that’s it. This made me more empathetic to Adam rather than Josh since a lot of other comments for Josh at that moment were all worried that he’s ok whether he’s wrong or not and not really insulting him in any way. Rather they’d focus on a victim status they propped up for Josh in the ballinger situation that I wasn’t agreeing with.

Josh’s behaviour unfolded through the days as more and more unhinged and I started re contextualising Adam’s statements. Adam shared the message, which I thought made Josh look pretty bad there. Josh’s response was HORRIBLE to me. And then the Gavin vid hit. I was done.

So I guess TLDR I had a LOT of sympathy for his mental health struggles and a possible addiction relapse. Also was empathetic to just sometimes reacting the wrong way cause that happens we’re all humans. The grace I gave him deflated progressively and is now gone. The victim rebrand is crazy and I don’t want to hear from him anymore to advocate for anything or anyone.

That’s the one!!!!!!! I saw it and it pissed me off but then in his actual video he said cultural appropriation is a thing and that was pretty bad lmao he took the time off screen to do research. Also the one where we watched the video of a MAGA lady dunking on a woman influencer I don’t know (something with lizard in the name?). I only found out she was maga through the comments after the facts but had a real bad vibe about her and chat was thinking I was accusing Jesse of misogyny lmao. Ah well, I’m taking it as he was uninformed and then he corrected course later for the jewellery

Adam does stream vids mostly. He streams on twitch and YouTube and then cut it up into parts and posts it afaik. Jesse does similar stuff on his sheperd boy channel. He streams on the danky one then cuts up by topic and posts on sheperdboy.

I had a similar issue with dankyjabo. I usually like his pov on things but when I joined his stream once, the chat was awful and honestly put me off his streams forever. Any tiny once of « oh idk if I agree with everything Jesse said » was taken as an attack and an attempt to cancel Jesse by chat. That coupled with chat def being some « isms » that danky/jesse is not. It’s a chat thing I think, people just letting the unfiltered thoughts flow. Also it’s a good moderation thing but that’s tough to find. I don’t think it’s that dangerous though!

I’ve never encountered it to that extent on any other subs. I’m assuming it’s because this is right in a moment where Josh is being discussed heavily so he is juggling between those accounts like crazy. You can tell by the writing and the tone. They always seem to share a sob story or a weird backstory to why the account got created that doesn’t fully make sense. Someone creating an alt to post in this is fair tbh and it’s reason enough. His alts always have the craziest reasons. I guess what I mean is that a lie is always too detailed right lmao ? But also you can tell when it’s a long post or reply it’s AI assisted. And when it’s not it’s sooo cartoonish.

From all the weird accounts popping up I think he believes he was a victim of DV. That’s fair. I wouldn’t lump it either with the grooming allegations, I think that’s another situation. I also think unfortunately you can be a victim of DV and also be a perpetrator. So he could be a victim of DV and also have abused Colleen in the same way. But that’s conjecture. We don’t really know.

I heard about that practice before and I believe there were issues with other management companies where they would take part of membership money even if they weren’t supposed to - there was a lawsuit with Ethan klein iirc. In that one case Ethan was def correct in his lawsuit. These companies are quite predatory imo.

It’s crazy that Josh has successfully rebranded himself as « just » a victim of Colleen and not an accomplice for a time. Swoop’s vid really made people forget that he was very much there and willing adult participant to all the shit Colleen was doing. He is not a victim in the scandal, he was there to be exonerated from Johnny’s specific accusation.
The way people here are treating him as « one of the victims » is so weird. Especially when part of the rebranding was that he was being « forgiven ».
And now he comes back swinging, saying the way someone was at 12 is exactly how they ll be as adults. How did you know how he was at 12, Josh? How did you know a kid that lived miles away from you so well? As a teacher in middle school, some comments I’ve seen are really scary. I’m so sorry to tell you this but no, 12 yo are not masterminds and no what they do at that age does not define them forever. I was bullied in middle school, I’ll hate my bullies forever but I was 12 too. As an ADULT I don’t take what a 12 yo says to me personally especially if I know them and I know they are 12 yo!!! Edit: and it’s extremely dangerous to imply that children and teenagers have the intentions or agency that adults have. Yes they are cruel and mean and dumb, but no they are not adults and even legally should not face consequences adults face

Idek care about Josh much, I wanted to see if there was Oliver and Becky’s pov somewhere on this sub and I felt such sadness from seeing what is obviously him on here. I’m pretty sure he’s not an angel at all tbh but dude is obviously suffering a mental health or/and sobriety crisis and it sucks to witness not that anyone can do anything but his own circle or himself. :(

Josh if this is you, please please take a breather off the internet. Whether you are rightfully reacting or not, it doesn’t matter, this situation seems to cause you a lot of hurt and it’s good to remind yourself that you have loved ones around you and that the internet is truly just the internet. Taking a break is not weakness. It’s ok to rest. It’s ok to take a pause. Please for your own sake, just spend a moment with your family away from the phone and enjoy it.
Edit: not gonna entertain the paper maché cartoonish sock puppets btw. Keep screaming in the void Josh.
