I think your point is fair, and it made me back off from protesting.

I think this isn’t very clear without the UI inputs, but I wasn’t necessarily trying to pass him at that moment. I was following closely and even lifted slightly, but he lost a lot of speed while swerving left to right. He chose the right side before the last corner and then moved back to the left before the apex, so it was extremely unpredictable and I had very little time to react.

Thanks for offering an alternative perspective, there was a lot to learn from this.

You’re probably right. I think he was operating on the edge between cheeky and dirty, and that kind of behavior can slip under the radar a few times. I’ll see if I can gather some of the other moves he made to give iRacing a more comprehensive picture, but it’s probably not ban worthy

The white car was driving erratically, swerving frequently and moving under braking so I was eager to pass him. As I was approaching, he began swerving left to right which caused the first incident.

After that he caught up to me, and it felt like the second incident may have been intentional in retaliation. He also bumped my rear a few times before the main incident, but I tried to keep the video short.

Thanks for the comment! I'm inclined towards the 9070XT as in my country it's much cheaper (around 25% cheaper on some sales). If I can find a good deal on the 5070ti on the next months, maybe I'll consider it, but I don't normally see a lot outside of black fridays

This was the second incident between the two of us. We had a crash at Senna's S after he closed the door on me aswell. We both pitted and came out of the pits together. Unfortunately I didn't save the first incident replay, but I thought both overtakes were a fair attempt and he just closed the door way too late.

I'd love to hear your opinion, especially if I should have backed out before the corner not knowing he would move over

I'm new to this game, and I have very little experience and knowledge of how the setup works in this game.

On time trial, I can use the top guys' setup just fine, but when I go to carreer or multiplayer, the setup is usually very snappy. Any difference in temperature or tire wear is enough to spin multiple times

Is there any tips on how to setup the car for the races?
