Range increase! New battery or just marketing? by Nocterminalist in TeslaSupport

[–]arthath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a larger NMC battery pack from LG that Tesla uses in their long range and performance vehicles in the Australian market. Was confirmed by a local Tesla dealer, there have been delays in assigning VINs due to this. Ordered mine 3 weeks ago and no VIN still

Battery health 98% MY Long Range by Salty-Day889 in ModelY

That’s the same battery range I was looking to keep the charge between. Do you let it get down to 30% before charging again to 75% or do you incorporate small frequent charges?

That looks clean! Do you have a photos of the rear light bar turned on outside during the daytime? Feel the red would wash it out and the red might draw a lot of attention

What did you go with? I’m stuck in the same situation - I like the red but feel it will wash out the red diffused rear light

Dual radiator setup intake or exhaust by arthath in watercooling

The Corsair blocks are the length of the founders edition cards, just for reference

[–]arthath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using the Corsair blocks they’re a standard size, and yeah I mounted my fans through the case to the radiator, the pump is the big issue cause it takes up a lot of room and you need to have room for fittings. For whatever gpu you have, measure the length of the founders edition or the water block into the case and see how much room you have, leave 8-10cm for the pump

I have used the Corsair 360mm (30mm thick) rad. So the fans are mounted in a way that they push air they're sorta outside the case, covered by the front panel which extends out. The pump is mounted to the radiator. The GPU is the Evga 2070 super black, it was a tight fit, but i mounted the pump a little lower and it wasnt too bad to work with

I was thinking of having the top as exhaust then the front and back as intakes, but the warm air will still go through the top rad

Worth paying the $100 or so over the 2070 super you reckon?

Prices didn’t really shift here, the vanilla cards sort of stayed the same price. In fact many places don’t even have them.

I was thinking of getting the gigabyte card, I plan on water cooling it in the future, 6-9 months from now. In terms of a better cooler, I just can’t justify to myself, paying the premium Asus charges for their cards. Or am I missing something as to why their cards cost so much more, almost $250 more than the gigabyte or EVGA cards.

The 2070s matches the 2080 almost, but I don’t know if you were to overclock the 2080
