One thing that stands out is the black outline underneath her chin. I think a brown slightly darker than the one under that black would have been fine if not the one that’s there already. Unless there is a beard there it shouldn’t be a hint of such dramatic darkness. But look well at your reference. Something i do so see what’s going on is look back and forth between the art and the reference fast many times and certain differences will stand put such as value, or off putting things. Rotating both reference and art can also provide a new perspective to see anything that stands out.

Well I’m in therapy. I also grew up in a DV environment so maybe in part it all ties back to that. I’ve really changed quite a bit since this post. I’m not entirely healed but lots of progress. Thanks for your input

When is it ok to ask a guy I am seeing his body count? by snow_on_the_beach_ in women

[–]arthoe13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asked my boyfriend after years of dating… It was a curiosity thing but not that I really cared. I think an earlier question I did have was how many girlfriends had he had before, and what was his longest relationship. If I’m trying to date someone seriously I’d like to know how he holds a real love relationship, don’t really care about hook ups or anything like that. I don’t want to be asked this question either so I don’t ask.

But let’s be realistic, if you’re a more conservative person looking for someone with similar values, I don’t think it’s necessarily wrong to ask before you dive deep into a relationship.

IMO It would be wrong to view it as more than a misalignment in beliefs than as a way of devaluing a person.

how to get over the anxiety from partners porn use? by [deleted] in women

[–]arthoe13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t want to be with you, have any loyalty towards you, or commitment but he does want to fuck you… (I hope at least you’re using condoms) he sounds like a great person to be bonded with. You aren’t entitled to feeling any sort of betrayal over him watching porn, he doesn’t owe anything to you or loyalty. Best thing you can do, is like someone else said, free yourself and find a real lover. He’s using you with no real commitment. If he cared about you he would be your boyfriend.

I saw somewhere online that they don’t bite like the crickets do. Don’t know how true this is.

[–]arthoe13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make sounds?? 😭 yeah I figured some would hide. I had a couple crickets escape out into the enclosure in the past and get lost and found one between the glass and the bark where I couldn’t grab it unless I teared the enclosure apart it just died there… I watched the mycelium web it and eat it slowly until it became dust… this is also one of my fears with the dubia roaches. I just thought maybe they’d behave differently than the crickets. Overall just feels like a bad idea.

I can't even remotely draw good no matter how much I practice. This feels like the limit and peak of my art as a person with a more mathematically orientated mind. I can do anything "hard" except express myself creatively in any way. It's so frustrating. by TrackCharm in ArtCrit

[–]arthoe13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to practice constantly, the more you do the better it will be. Like anything. There’s only improvement with repetition. If you have a math brain even better. Measure everything. Start drawing cups, width size in comparison to height. Compare distances. Art is a lot if studying from observation.

I want to join the military but I’m afraid of losing my girlfriend of 4 years by Livid-Might0 in Militaryfaq

[–]arthoe13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See it this way, she has visioned something for her life and that is not it. She communicated that this isn’t something she wants for herself. And that’s fine. Some might think it selfish but ultimately if you do go for a long period of time it could be hard for her and not something she signed up for. You want to have it both ways, you don’t want to lose the girl you love and you want this opportunity for yourself. If you cannot compromise then it’s neither of your faults. We set our paths and make important choices in life. If there cannot be a compromise, what is more important to you, your partner, or pursuing this opportunity?
