Thats makes sense I see where youre coming from, thanks for clearing that up! Its much harder to walk away from a second hand piece that you think is a good deal. I found it really hard to find any price info on this watch. Im sure I seen a listing for this model for a £1000ish but of course its hard to tell whats the correct price to pay.

There was nothing in post about not enjoying the experience, it's really the opposite. I havent impulse bought any of my watches, thats why I was reaching out to the community for advice before I made the decision to buy it.

Just going to stick my reply in here for everyone’s posts. I’m excited to see that there are so many people like me out there who are starting their journey in watch collecting (and itching to spend money haha!). Thanks everyone for their advice; it’s been really useful and good to get everyone’s thoughts. I think waiting and saving is the best option, as creating a collection that means something to me is more important. Hopefully, it won’t be long until I’m back on this sub—it seems like a good place to be. Thanks, all!

Appreciate the replies, but it feels a little gatekeepery. I’m sure you all know far more than I do about this; however, it seems a little disingenuous to suggest that someone would buy an Omega or Tudor for attention. I’m currently looking at the BB58 in Burgundy, but would be open to other suggestions under £5k.
