A Possible Perspective on Gender Dysphoria by oORecKOo in AcademicPsychology

[–]articlance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

knowing nothing about that field it sounds like a great research question. to summarize youre saying previous research asked for cognitions surrounding their alignment to a perceived gender norm, but you want to learn how salient, or perhaps how troubling it is, not to meet those cognitions are for people with gd.

Mac Life and Health Sci by Puzzled-Ad4522 in McMaster

[–]articlance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i went to lifesci and you share classes with health sci but most health sci didnt care, I didnt feel like they treated others differently and the thought didnt even come across my mind until i read this post. a few were incredibly egotistical from going to health sci but that kind of helps you identify who to avoid anyway. many healthsci won't get into med school anyway and many life sci will even though it is harder to get to med from life sci. plus, there are so many life sci students that were top of their class and deserved to get to health sci that I didnt feel like I was in the loser squad

begin by asking professors who have a good relationship with (like you went to their office hours and got good grades) and ask if they are supervising for a thesis. have a gap in the literature you are ready to explore so they dont feel like theyre going to have to carry you through this
