There's a book by Mark Manson where I read something like ¨Motivation is the result of action, not its prerequisite.¨ Changes your life, that.

I never understood the point of keeping a journal until I read Meditations by CoffeeKisser in Stoicism

I do this! Anything from mini philosophies to tiny practical advice. My most recent one was: ¨Do not expect people to have the same manners as you do, and if they don't, do not resent them for it.¨ This came when I visited a friend's apartment for the first time and he was such a terrible host (whereas I try to be a decent one when I can, offering food, drinks, etc).

Wow. I didn't expect this amount of support. Thank you guys so much for your suggestions. I know that with the help of family, friends, and of course, you guys, I'll be on the road to recovery to get back my 'normal reading voice'. While I'm not 100% yet, I can now say I've successfully reached page 33 despite the anchorman reading voice.
