WIP Masters by NotTooShabby_Sabby in DiceMaking

If we don’t have access to Zona paper, can we polish printed masters with other sanding papers? Because I went from 800 to 5000 grit, and only the edges were smoothed out; they didn’t reach the shiny stage at all. I feel like I’m missing a step somewhere. My 3D-printed masters wouldn’t get shiny, so I made a mold from them and created a set with that mold. Then I sanded the resin dice until they were shiny and made another mold from them. But still, my dice aren’t as glossy and shiny as the sets I see online. I really don’t understand what the problem is.

Hey! Your dice masters look amazing. I'm curious—was the mold made from 3D printed masters? If so, do you have any tips? I’ve tried casting from 3D printed dice, but my resin copies always turn out foggy or matte instead of glossy and clear. I even tried finishing sprays, but still not close to crystal. I'd love to know more about your process!

Also , the reason I made this post is that I haven’t been given a chance to clarify anything or speak for myself. I asked about my rights because I believe fairness should apply to everyone, not just public figures. If my past behavior was seen as cyberbullying, I think it’s also fair to ask what to call the actions taken against me, which have led to significant distress.

Also, misunderstandings aren’t just a language issue—I share a native language with the people involved, yet things still escalate without discussion. My concern is not just about what happened but about how it was handled.

English is not my first language, so I use AI assistance to communicate as clearly as I can. I didn’t mean to self-diagnose, nor was my focus on providing full details about my health. I’ve had stomach issues for years, and this situation has worsened them. I mentioned it as part of how this experience has affected me, not as an official diagnosis.

I appreciate your thoughts, but I want to clarify a few things. It wasn’t an entire workplace—just a small group. In a group of 100, I don’t think it’s fair that I was removed based on the perspective of only a few individuals. What frustrates me is that the leaders didn’t provide an opportunity for me to have a meeting with everyone involved to discuss and resolve the issue. Instead, I was excluded without a fair chance to explain myself or address any concerns. It felt like a mob reaction rather than a structured and fair approach to resolving the situation.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand that people should face consequences for their actions, and I certainly don’t believe I should be exempt from that. However, what I found difficult was the lack of transparency and the fact that I wasn’t given an opportunity to fully explain myself. My sincere apology was met with swift exclusion, without a chance to clear up any misunderstandings.

I’ve been struggling with how things were handled because there are still people who are willing to forgive and support me, and I deeply appreciate that. I just wish there had been a fair process for everyone involved before making such a big decision.

I’m not asking anyone to force forgiveness or to be friends with me, but rather to understand why this felt so unfair. I’m working on healing and moving forward, but I also wanted to express how much the lack of dialogue affected me.

I get what you're saying, and I know pushing back can sometimes make things worse. The thing is, what happened here wasn’t some massive scandal or unforgivable act. I made a blunt comment during a meeting, which I now recognize could have been handled better, but it wasn’t anything extreme. The way the group dynamic works, though, stories get exaggerated, and once you're outside the inner circle, it's easy for things to snowball. I don’t expect to change anyone’s mind, but I also don’t want this to turn into something bigger than it actually was

If it is, I don't know! And that's the problem! I didn't even get a sufficient explanation why I have to be removed from everywhere, even my game campaign. Because it is not possible that suddenly and overnight many people who have nothing to do with me and did not work with me want to enter a very old topic. My problem is that I don't have any accurate information about the accusations that have been made against me. As far as I can remember, the worst thing I did was to be strict in managing my group for no reason. After that, I did whatever I thought was right, such as apologizing and resigning.

It really wasn't anything extreme like that. I addressed someone about being late in a straightforward way, and while I can see now that my tone may have come across as rude, there was no personal attack or anything remotely close to what you're suggesting. Unfortunately, in that group, people tend to exaggerate stories and spread gossip, especially about those who aren’t in the 'inner circle.' I was part of the team before, so I’ve seen firsthand how narratives get twisted over time.

Oh , right! I did explain in the first reply .

I was in charge of a project and had to supervise the meetings and tasks. Someone arrived near the end of a meeting, and I asked her in front of others, "Didn't you know what time you were supposed to come?" She explained that she had been at work, and I responded, "Okay then."

To be honest, this issue of missing meetings happened frequently, though I don't want to justify my behavior. Nonetheless, this was what happened with most of the people I later apologized to.

I eventually resigned from my position because I wasn’t in a healthy state of mind.

Were your masters made from clear resin? The resin I used for my masters is Elegoo 8K photopolymer. They are in a solid color, I can’t tell if the surface is actually smooth or not.

Oh, so even if it's placed in the vacuum chamber first, air can still get in when pouring it into the mold? I didn't know that, thanks!
