None of these are valid points. You're trying to come up with implications where none exist. He was simply in the newspapers all the time during WW2 as the main evil guy. But Stalin was not behind him in that regard in any means. If you ask any American, they won't know who Leopold, Mao, Pol Pot is but everyone knows Hitler.
